IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
20170146809 · 2017-05-25 ·

An image display device includes a light source, a scanner, a screen, a virtual image optical system and a screen incident angle correcting optical system. The light source emits laser light. The scanner scans the laser light. An image is formed on the screen by the scanned laser light. The virtual image optical system generates a virtual image of the image by the laser light having transmitted through the screen. The screen incident angle correcting optical system orients the scanned laser light toward the screen. The scanner performs at least first scanning and second scanning that has a scanning direction different from a scanning direction of the first scanning. The screen includes a lenticular lens having a lens pitch in a direction parallel to the first scanning. The lens pitch of the lenticular lens is larger than a beam diameter of the laser light near a light receiving surface of the screen.

HEADS-UP DISPLAY DEVICE

The objective of the present invention is to provide a heads-up display device able to efficiently orient image light towards a viewer by means of a simple configuration. The heads-up display device is provided with: a projection unit that emits projection light depicting a display image; a first reflection unit and second reflection unit that reflect the projection light exiting the projection unit towards a transmissive screen; and the transmissive screen that outputs image light towards an observer by transmitting/scattering the projection light. By adjusting the angle of the light axis of the projection light entering the transmissive screen by rotating the first reflection unit and second reflection unit, the angle of the image light exiting the transmissive screen is adjusted.

VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE

A vehicle display device includes: a display; a vehicle information image generator; an external image obtaining device; a display controller that displays the vehicle information image and the external image on the display; and an external image display determination device that determines whether the display controller is going to display the not displayed external image. When the display controller is going to display the not displayed external image, the display controller displays the external image, which the display controller is going to display, on the display with gradually increasing brightness of the external image from the brightness that is lower by a predetermined amount than original brightness to predetermined brightness that is determined based on the original brightness.

VEHICULAR DISPLAY APPARATUS

This display device is provided with a display unit, a beam splitter, and a first mirror. The display unit emits a first image and a second image. The beam splitter has, incident thereon, the first image and the second image which are emitted from the display unit. The beam splitter transmits the incident first image and reflects the incident second image to project the first image and the second image on a display medium. The first mirror has, incident thereon, the first image which has been transmitted through the beam splitter. The first mirror reflects the incident first image to project the first image on the display medium.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLE WARNINGS VIA AUGMENTED REALITY

Systems and methods for enhanced emergency vehicle warnings via Augmented Reality (AR) are provided. An example system may obtain a wireless communication signal indicating a position of an emergency vehicle, determine a field of view of an occupant of the vehicle associated with an AR viewer, and based upon a comparison of the position of the emergency vehicle and the field of view, present an alert via the AR viewer.

DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD

This display device is provided with a display unit and a control unit. The display unit projects and reflects, onto a light-transmitting display medium, light expressing an image, to allow the image to be viewed, as a virtual image, by a user. The control unit performs first stereoscopic display processing for causing light respectively expressing a left-eye image and a right-eye image of an object to be displayed, to be projected in the display unit. As a result of this processing, the object to be displayed can be stereoscopically viewed in a three-dimensional image space by the user.
