DRIP EMITTER
20190380287 · 2019-12-19 · ·

A drip emitter has a hollow body provided with first and second pools and with an inlet recess between the first and second pools. The inlet recess has inlet hole(s). The emitter is provided with an elastic band surrounding at least one of the inlet holes. The elastic band, in its closed position, is in a tight contact with the inlet hole(s). In its open position, it is expanded to open the inlet hole(s).

Channel-less drip irrigation emitters and methods of using the same

Drip irrigation emitters having low activation pressures, desirable flow rates, and are configured to clog less than existing emitters are provided. The disclosed emitters include membrane cavities that are devoid of a channel and a land to help advance fluid through the cavity, to an outlet, and to an outside environment. Instead, the membrane cavities have various shapes and configurations that, in conjunction with a depressed membrane, help to drive fluid out of the membrane cavity and to an outside environment. The shapes of the membrane cavities include a sinusoidal configuration, a cylindrical shape configuration, and a flat bottom configuration. Various features of such emitters, and methods of using the same, are also provided.

Hose Irrigation Device
20240090391 · 2024-03-21 ·

A hose irrigation device for converting a conventional garden hose to an irrigation hose having adjustable flow rates includes a screw having a shaft and a head. The shaft is threaded for being inserted into a garden hose. The shaft may be inserted an adjustable depth into the garden hose. A channel extends into the shaft of the screw. The channel has a base end corresponding to a distal end of the shaft relative to the head. The base end is positionable within an interior of the garden hose. The channel has a top end positionable outside of the garden hose when the screw is inserted into the garden hose. Thus, fluid passing through the garden hose is expelled from the garden hose through the channel.

Earth wall having a pocket structure for receiving vegetation and method for forming an earth wall

A pocket structure for receiving containerized plants is sloped and hung from a wire of a wire basket. The pocket structure includes hooks, an irrigation fitting and corresponding drip channel to transmit water toward the rear of the pocket, and slots in the walls. The mesh units include braces and are sized for shipping. An earth wall is formed of the mesh units and pockets, and includes irrigation tubing.

Irrigation Device And Conversion Indicator For Irrigation Device

An irrigation device is provided with an indicator that may be converted to indicate a condition, such as use with non-potable fluid. The irrigation device includes an inlet, and outlet, and a body defining a flow path from the inlet to the outlet. It further includes a cover with a removable section, and an indicator at least partially under the removable cover. The indicia indicate a condition of the irrigation device, such as being used with non-potable fluid. In one state, the cover is intact and the indicia are not exposed. In another state, the removable section has been removed and the indicia are at least partially exposed.

EMITTER AND DRIP IRRIGATION TUBE
20240065188 · 2024-02-29 ·

An emitter forms a flow path that runs to a discharge part from a water collecting part for receiving an irrigation liquid in a tube. The flow path includes a flow rate control part which includes: an end surface including a concave inclined surface that faces a film for receiving the pressure of the liquid inside the tube; a hole that opens at the center of the flow volume control part and connects to the discharge part; and a groove crossing the inclined surface and running to the hole. When the film adheres to the inclined surface as a result of the pressure of the irrigation liquid inside the tube, the flow volume of the irrigation liquid inside the emitter is controlled so as to be a volume that can pass through the groove.

BIODEGRADABLE IRRIGATION PIPE

An emitter outlet defining an ingress channel having a first volume and area, and having a first portion that is substantially perpendicular to a second portion located downstream of the first portion which causes fluid flowing through the ingress channel to make a first fluid velocity reducing turn, and a first opening located off of the second portion that causes at least a portion of the fluid flowing through the ingress channel to make a second fluid velocity reducing turn, and an outlet bath with a second volume and area that is larger than the first volume and area of the ingress channel so as to cause further pressure and/or velocity reduction of the fluid entering into the outlet bath. In addition, emitters, drip lines and various methods relating to such an emitter outlet configuration are also disclosed.

EMITTER LOCATING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
20190357456 · 2019-11-28 ·

Various systems, methods and apparatus for locating emitters embedded in tubing are disclosed herein, as well as forming outlets in said tubing and confirming the placement accuracy of such outlets. In one form, an emitter locator is disclosed having: a housing defining a generally enclosed space and having an inlet located in a first side of the housing and an outlet located in a second side of the housing positioned opposite the inlet; a cutter positioned within the generally enclosed space between the inlet and outlet; a first optical instrument located proximate the inlet; a second optical instrument located proximate the outlet; and a controller connected to the cutter and first and second optical instruments, the controller configured to detect a tubing target area desired for placement of an outlet opening in tubing that passes through the inlet and cut the tubing target area to form the outlet opening therein.
