NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, AND NOTIFICATION METHOD
A notification system includes a mobile terminal and a processor. The mobile terminal receives notification information for a driver of a vehicle and notifies the driver of the notification information. The processor generates the notification information and transmits the notification information to the mobile terminal. The processor causes the mobile terminal to notify the driver of the notification information until an ending condition for ending notification is satisfied. The processor changes the ending condition depending on urgency of the notification information.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device includes at least one processor, the processor being configured to: in a vehicle configured to enable autonomous travel control that permits a driver to behave in a manner in which it is not possible to check surroundings of the vehicle, determine whether or not a portable terminal configured to receive notification of vehicle information is present inside a vehicle cabin before the autonomous travel control is executed; and in a case in which it has been determined that the portable terminal is not present inside the vehicle cabin, provide notification, via an onboard unit, that notification of the vehicle information cannot be provided from the portable terminal.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF A HEADLIGHT OF A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for automatic control of a headlight of a vehicle by a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device receives vehicle related information and external information associated with the mobile computing device, where the mobile computing device is associated with an operator of the vehicle and is communicatively coupled with vehicle. Further, the mobile computing device computes an intensity and an orientation of a headlight of the vehicle based on one or more vehicle lighting patterns, where said vehicle lighting patterns are generated based on behavior of the headlight of the vehicle, which is operated by the operator, for a pre-defined duration in association with the vehicle related information and external information and provides computed intensity and orientation of the headlight of the vehicle to a lighting control module of the vehicle for automatic control of the headlight of the vehicle.
Vehicle Control Device Mounted On Vehicle And Method For Controlling The Vehicle
A vehicle control device that includes a communication unit that is configured to (i) communicate with a mobile device and (ii) receive data including user input that is received at the mobile device; and a processor that is configured to: based on receipt of the data including the user input, determine whether a vehicle with which the mobile device is associated operates in a manual driving mode or an autonomous driving mode and whether the user input received at the mobile device satisfies a preset condition; and based on determinations that the vehicle is in the manual driving mode and that the user input received at the mobile device satisfies the preset condition, switch the vehicle from the manual driving mode to the autonomous driving mode is disclosed.
Mobile terminal, image display apparatus mounted in vehicle and data processing method using the same
The present invention provides an image display apparatus mounted in a vehicle, which includes a communication unit for transmitting/receiving data to/from an external mobile terminal, and a controller for generating Internet access information including Internet access environment information about the image display apparatus and controlling the communication unit to transmit the generated Internet access information to the mobile terminal, wherein the Internet access information includes at least one of Internet access state information representing whether the image display apparatus is connected to the Internet, and roaming state information representing whether a roaming service is used for Internet access of the image display apparatus. According to a mobile terminal, image display apparatus mounted in a vehicle and data processing method using the same, Internet access information can be efficiently transmitted between the mobile terminal and the image display apparatus.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE DURING AN AUTONOMOUS DRIVE MODE, COMMUNICATION DEVICE AS WELL AS MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method for operating a communication device (2) for a motor vehicle (1), in which operating data of at least one operating component (4) of the motor vehicle (1) is provided by means of an interface device (3) of the motor vehicle (1) and transmitted to a mobile apparatus (8) disposed in an interior (10) of the motor vehicle (1), and the operating data is displayed on a display device (11) of the mobile apparatus (8), wherein it is examined by means of the interface device (3) if the motor vehicle (1) is operated in an autonomous drive mode, and if the motor vehicle (1) is operated in the autonomous drive mode, the mobile apparatus (8) is operated in a first operating mode, wherein the operating data is displayed on the display device (11) only in the first operating mode.
Workload estimation for mobile device feature integration
A system may include a device configured to connect to a vehicle data port and a mobile device and including an alert manager. The alert manager may be configured to determine, according to a driver workload estimation, an alert mode indicative of how to process a vehicle user-interface request to access a mobile device feature for use via the vehicle user-interface, and access the feature of the mobile device in accordance with the alert mode.
Autonomous vehicle interface system with multiple interface devices featuring redundant vehicle commands
The present disclosure provides an autonomous vehicle and associated interface system that includes multiple vehicle interface computing devices that provide redundant vehicle commands. As one example, an autonomous vehicle interface system can include a first vehicle interface computing device located within the autonomous vehicle and physically coupled to the autonomous vehicle. The first vehicle interface computing device can provide a first plurality of selectable vehicle commands to a human passenger of the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle interface system can further include a second vehicle interface computing device that provides a second plurality of selectable vehicle commands to the human passenger. For example, the second vehicle interface computing device can be the passenger's own device (e.g., smartphone). The second plurality of selectable vehicle commands can include at least some of the same vehicle commands as the first plurality of selectable vehicle commands.
Method and device for displaying information of a system
Systems and methods for displaying information of a system use at least one control unit to detect and communicate system information to a mobile terminal device within a predetermined range of the system. Information about a state of the system may be displayed on a display unit of the system and transmitted to the mobile terminal device via a communication channel established between the control unit and the mobile terminal device. The system may be a vehicle and the system information a status of the automatic driving mode of the vehicle.
Dashboard including rules to display data
A system for displaying a dashboard display in a vehicle includes a vehicle data bus interface for communicating with vehicle subsystems of a vehicle management system, a dashboard display module, and a dashboard store for storing a dashboard display definition. In one example, the dashboard display module obtains from the vehicle bus information regarding which of the plurality of vehicle subsystems are enabled, and transmits the information regarding which of the plurality of vehicle subsystems are enabled to a device external to the vehicle management system.
