Computing Systems And Methods For Generating User-Specific Automated Vehicle Actions

Methods, computing systems, and technology for automated vehicle action generation are presented. For example, a computing system may generate content for presentation to a user via a user interface of a display device. The content may include user interface elements for inputting one or more triggering conditions associated with a vehicle function of a vehicle and one or more settings of the vehicle function. The computing system may receive, via the user interface, data indicative of user input specifying the triggering conditions and data indicative of user input specifying the settings of the vehicle function. The computing system may determine an automated vehicle action that defines a relationship between the triggering conditions and the settings of the vehicle function. The computing system may output command instructions for the vehicle to implement the automated vehicle action for automatically controlling the vehicle function based on whether the vehicle detects the triggering conditions.

Method for assisting a user in the remote control of a motor vehicle, computer program product, remote-control device and driver assistance system for a motor vehicle

A method for assisting a user in the remote control of a motor vehicle by a remote-control device is disclosed. Depending on sensor data provided by means of at least one environment sensor of the motor vehicle, a first surroundings image of at least one part of the surroundings of the motor vehicle from a determined perspective is provided and displayed by means of the remote-control device. In this case, the determined perspective is selected from a number of selectable perspectives as a perspective that is independent of a position of the at least one environment sensor, depending on a user input effected by the user and detected by means of the remote-control device.

An assistance system includes: an vehicular device for a vehicle that performs an autonomous driving operation, and allows a driver action during the autonomous driving operation; and a portable terminal that is carried by the driver of the vehicle and connected to the vehicular device to communicate with the vehicular device. The vehicular device or the portable terminal includes an operation determination section that determines whether the portable terminal is being operated. The portable terminal includes a display unit that performs an assistance display for assisting an execution of the driver action which is required during the autonomous driving operation when the driver action is required during the autonomous driving operation, and the operation determination section determines that the portable terminal is being operated.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN INTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE

A device for controlling an interior lighting system of a vehicle to produce ambient lighting and/or reading lighting involves the interior lighting system having an array of a plurality of light sources. The device includes a control unit, by means of which the light sources of the array can be individually controlled in order to produce the ambient lighting and/or the reading lighting, and an input unit that can be connected to the control unit. The input unit has a touch-sensitive screen for inputting a current set of control information for the control unit. The control unit controls the light sources on the basis of the current set of control information. Furthermore, the input unit, on the basis of the current set of control information, displays associated ambient lighting and/or reading lighting for an illuminable region in the vehicle interior on the screen.

ALTERNATIVE DISPLAY OPTIONS FOR VEHICLE TELLTALES

Alternative display options for vehicle telltales are disclosed. In one aspect, a fault condition in a telltale is detected, and the telltale is presented through a secondary display system in the vehicle, potentially bypassing any local control unit for the secondary display system. For example, a video telltale may be presented on an infotainment display after detection of a fault in the original telltale. By presenting the telltale in an alternate display, the operator remains informed of sensor conditions in the automobile and may take remedial action to fix the fault as well as any conditions which trigger a telltale.
