A positioning system for positioning a display device for presenting visually perceptible information in a motor vehicle, the positioning system includes a display and a guide system with at least one rail element, and with at least one slide element guidable with the rail element. One of the two elements is fixed by a connection device to the display device and the respective other element is designed to be connected to a supporting structure or a transverse member of an instrument panel. At least one securing element which is rigidly connected by a first end region to the display device and by a second end region to the element designed for connection to the supporting structure. Under action of specific pulses, the guide system can achieve a substantially translational displacement of the display device by a relative movement between the rail element and the slide element in the guide plane.
MOTOR VEHICLE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
An assembly is disclosed, in which a rigid ramp is rigidly connected to a tubular upper part of a steering column for interaction with a displaceable part of an instrument panel. Interaction between the tubular upper part and the displaceable part moves the displaceable part in a reliable manner out of the way during an impact scenario, during which a steering wheel is displaced towards the instrument panel. Displacement of the displaceable part by the rigid ramp permits the steering wheel to be fully displaced without the instrument panel hindering such motion.

A steering assembly includes a steering wheel and display interface. The steering wheel has an airbag module disposed within a hub of the steering wheel. The display interface is disposed on the steering wheel over the airbag module. The display interface has a first display segment disposed adjacent to a second display segment.

The indicator apparatus (30) for a vehicle component, in particular for a human-human interface for the indicator and, where necessary, for entering operating parameters for a vehicle component, is provided with a housing (12) comprising a front side (14) and a display unit (10), which is arranged on the front side (14) of the housing (12) and/or forms the front side (14) of the housing (12), for displaying operating parameters of a vehicle component and possibly symbols fields for entering commands and operating parameters for a vehicle component. The indicator apparatus (30) is furthermore provided with a deformable delay element (32), arranged in the housing (12) behind the display unit (10), for delaying acceleration movements that act on the display unit (10) in the direction of the interior of the housing (12) as a result of an object striking the display unit (10). The delay element (32) has a greater stiffness in a center region (34) that is in alignment with the region of the center of the display unit (10) than in a region (36, 38) of the delay element (32) that is in alignment with a region of the display unit (10) that adjoins the region of the center of the display unit (10) and extends in the direction of the edge of the display unit (10) and/or as far as the edge thereof.
IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICE
An impact protection device for an occupant of a motor vehicle in a vehicle interior, including a display device with a display, with which an airbag arrangement is associated, and at least one airbag, which is filled with gas and deploys when the impact protection device is activated. The display device includes a printed circuit board, which is arranged in a housing of the display device behind a display panel. The printed circuit board is combined with the display panel and the airbag arrangement arranged behind the printed circuit board in the housing, such that the printed circuit board with the display panel moves away from the housing when the impact protection device is activated.
Energy attenuating display mount for dash mounted vehicle display
An energy attenuating vehicle display mount includes an instrument panel support mounted to a dashboard, an instrument panel support bracket coupled to the instrument panel support, a display mount coupled to the instrument panel support bracket, and an energy attenuating fastener connecting the display mount to the instrument panel support bracket. The energy attenuating fastener accommodates movement of the display mount relative to the instrument panel support bracket.

The present invention relates to a vehicle-mounted display device disposed in an interior member of a vehicle. The vehicle-mounted display device of the invention includes: a display panel; a cover glass covering the display panel; a housing accommodating the display panel; and a holding portion holding a position of the housing, in which the cover glass is a tempered glass having a thickness being 0.5 to 2.5 mm, a thickness of a compressive stress layer being 650 MPa or higher, and when the thickness (unit: mm) of the cover glass is represented by x and an energy absorption rate (unit: %) of the holding portion is represented by y. Expression (1) is satisfied, and impact resistance of the cover glass is excellent:

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember, which is provided for connecting to two pillars lying opposite each other with respect to the x-y plane of the vehicle; a mounting that is connected to the crossmember, protrudes therefrom in the radial direction, and has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means; and a panel-shaped instrument which is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and which is held such that the operating surface of the instrument faces the passenger compartment of the vehicle in the x direction. Each of the two mounts is designed in the form of a half shell which are arranged such that the opening side thereof faces in the y direction, wherein the two limbs of the mounts designed as half shells are arranged on the x-y plane, the web connecting said limbs is arranged on the y-z plane, and each of the mounts has at least one predetermined bending point, which is provided by the geometry of the mount, between the two connection points of the mount, said mounts bending at the predetermined bending point in the z and/or y direction in the event of a load (x direction).

An assembly for a vehicle comprising a crossmember for connecting to two vehicle pillars, a mounting connected to the crossmember and radially protruding therefrom, and a panel-shaped instrument. The mounting has two mounts, which are mutually spaced in the y direction, and end-face connection means. The instrument is connected to the connection means of the mounting at a distance to the upper closure thereof and held such that its operating surface faces the passenger compartment. Each mount has a respective upper and lower cord. Each cord has limbs adjoining one another at an angle. The cords are inclined relative to each other so as to have a greater distance to each other at the instrument connection side than at the side facing the crossmember. At least one of the two cords has at least one predetermined bending point between the two connection points of the cord.
