Heads-up display device
First and second cover members of a cover of a head-up display device cover an opening region of a housing. The first cover member is rotationally movable with respect to the housing around a first rotation fulcrum fixed to the housing. The second cover member is rotationally movable with respect to the first cover member around second rotation fulcrums respectively fixed to first and second end parts of the first cover member. When the first cover member turns with respect to the housing and the second cover member turns with respect to the first cover member, the first end part is located at an outer side than a first side of a mirror, and the second end part is located at an outer side than a second side of the mirror. The second cover member is not present in an optical path of light projected from a projector to the mirror.
Vehicle media hub assembly
A vehicle media hub assembly includes a housing having a display surface with an aperture, and a port disposed at least partially within the housing and extending into the aperture, the port configured to provide electrical and/or signal communication between two electrical devices. A lighting device is disposed within the aperture at least partially around the port. A door is coupled to the housing and movable between an open position providing access to the display surface, and a closed position covering the display surface. The door includes a window and a translucent cover at least partially covering the window. The window is configured to be disposed proximate the lighting device when the door is in the closed position such that light from the lighting device is configured to pass through the window and the translucent cover to illuminate at least a portion of the translucent cover.
VEHICLE DISPLAY INCLUDING A CAMERA
An illustrative example assembly includes a display having a first side for displaying at least one image and a second side facing opposite the first side. The display includes a first portion having a first plurality of layers between the first side and the second side. The display includes a second portion having a second plurality of layers between the first side and the second side. The second plurality of layers includes at least one additional layer more than the first plurality of layers. A camera is situated near the second side of the display with a field of view of the camera at least partially aligned with the first portion of the display.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME
A display device includes a window and a display panel coupled to a bottom surface of the window. The display panel has a substantially regular tetragonal shape or a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, and the window includes a base member and a bezel layer on a bottom surface of the base member. Between one and three light-transmissive main alignment marks and a transmission area having a different shape than that of the display panel are defined in the bezel layer, and each of the main alignment marks is arranged at a position corresponding to a vertex of the display panel or at a position corresponding to a vertex of an imaginary regular tetragon or of an imaginary rectangle that has the same center point as the display panel and that is larger than the display panel.
ROTATABLE DISPLAY
An instrument panel has an aperture in which a display may be arranged. The instrument panel further comprises a rotatable display mechanism. The mechanism comprising at least three display surfaces supported on a rotatable support. A first display surface comprises a touch sensitive display screen; a second display surface comprises at least one dial or gauge; and a third display surface comprises a trim element. The support is mounted for rotation with respect to a mount and the mount is movable away from and towards the aperture in the instrument panel. In use each display surface may be arranged in the aperture. To change from one display surface to another display surface, the mount is moved away from the instrument panel, the support is rotated and the mount is then moved back towards the instrument panel so as to align another display surface in the aperture.
PROTECTION COVER, PROTECTION DEVICE AND PROTECTION METHOD FOR HEAD UP DISPLAY
The present disclosure provides a protection cover, a protection device, and a protection method for a head up display. The protection cover includes a front cover, a color changing layer, and a rear cover, which are disposed in a stack. An electrochromic material is provided in the color changing layer, and the color changing layer is configured to adjust a light transmittance under an action of an electric field to protect the head up display.
GPS-based vehicular speed limiting system
The GPS-based vehicular speed limiting system comprises an on board diagnostic (OBD) interface unit and a GPS unit. The OBD interface unit plugs into the OBD-2 (or equivalent) connector inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle and communicates with one or more vehicle computers. The GPS unit receives signals from GPS satellites to determine the current vehicle location, which it may then display in map form utilizing map data stored in memory within the GPS. If the OBD interface unit determines that the vehicle is traveling faster than the posted speed limit, as determined by information stored in the map data and communicated to the OBD interface unit over the wireless link, the OBD interface unit may command the vehicle computers to limit the speed of the vehicle. Unplugging the OBD interface unit may result in a notification being sent to a smartphone.
Display device with backlight
A display device includes a liquid crystal panel providing a display surface where an image is displayed, a backlight emitting light to the liquid crystal panel from behind, a real object placed between the liquid crystal panel and the backlight and visible through the liquid crystal panel, and a controller controlling the liquid crystal panel such that a specific pixel region of the display surface behind which the real object is positioned is higher in light transmittance than another pixel region of the display surface.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INTERLOCKING DISPLAY DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a device for interlocking a display device with a vehicle, the device including a mount disposed in the vehicle, the display device being attached to and detached from the mount, a first sliding member disposed on a front surface of the mount and capable of moving forward or backward in a direction perpendicular to a rear surface of the display device, and a connector provided to the first sliding member, wherein the connector may transmit and receive electrical signals to and from the display device. The vehicle may be controlled by coupling a display device to the interlocking device disposed in the vehicle. Even when the display device is not coupled to the vehicle, the vehicle may be controlled by pairing through wireless communication between the vehicle and the display device.
DASHBOARD CONTROL SYSTEM
A dashboard control system of a vehicle includes: one or more sensors positioned in the vehicle for generating sensor outputs; one or more control inputs located on at least one of the vehicle and a user device communicatively coupled to the vehicle; and a dashboard assembly positioned in the vehicle facing a rider of the vehicle, the dashboard assembly including at least one visor unit coupled with a rotatable display unit with at least one display face. The rotatable display unit includes at least one drive unit and at least one controller for controlling operation of at least one of the at least one visor unit and the rotatable display unit, based on the sensor outputs and the one or more control inputs.
