Shading device in a motor vehicle
A motor vehicle includes a passenger display with a switchable view protection device that is actively switched in predetermined operating states so that display contents shown on the passenger display cannot be seen from the seating area of the driver. The vehicle includes a shading device having an illuminant oriented toward the passenger display and is controlled by a control unit and which, in order to prevent moving residual fragments that can still be detected from the driver's seat despite a view protection device which is switched to shading, externally illuminates the passenger display.

A control panel for a vehicle and having: a digital screen; a pointer, which can be arranged on the digital screen and is mounted in a movable manner so as to move on the digital screen; and an actuator device configured to move the pointer on the digital screen. The pointer is movable so as to be arranged on the digital screen and to be arranged beside the digital screen and without overlap on the digital screen. The actuator device transmits the motion to the pointer through a contactless magnetic coupling.

A control panel for a vehicle and having: a main digital screen having at least one through opening made within it and completely surrounded by the main digital screen; a secondary digital screen, which is arranged behind the main digital screen in the area of the through opening of the main digital screen so that it is visible through the through opening; a pointer, which can be arranged between the main digital screen and the secondary digital screen and is mounted in a movable manner so as to move on the secondary digital screen; and an actuator device configured to move the pointer on the secondary digital screen.
VANDALISM-RESISTANT INFORMATION INTERFACE APPARATUS FOR AN EARTH WORKING MACHINE
An information interface apparatus (27, 27a) in particular for an operator's platform (24) of an earth working machine (10), for example a road milling machine, recycler, stabilizer, or surface miner, having an interface subassembly (52) encompassing a housing (54) and a functional surface (56) that is received in the housing (54) and embodied to input and/or output information, is characterized in that the information interface apparatus (27, 27a) comprises a protective plate (58), embodied separately from the interface subassembly (52), to cover the functional surface (56); the protective plate (58) comprising an anchoring portion (64) with which the protective plate (58) is anchorable on a counterpart anchoring portion (68) of the interface subassembly (52) and the anchoring portion (64) is thus securable against removal from the functional surface (56); and the protective plate (58) comprising a latching portion (66), different from the anchoring portion (64), with which the protective plate (58) is releasably latchable on a counterpart latching portion (72) of the interface subassembly (52) and the latching portion (66) is thus securable against removal from the functional surface (56).
HEAD-UP DISPLAY WITH A SEGMENTED COVER
A head-up display unit having a segmented cover includes a housing having an upper surface defining an aperture to an interior space and holding a combiner. The combiner is movable between a storage position within the housing and an operational position extending through the aperture. The segmented cover is movable between a closed position covering the aperture and an opened position uncovering the aperture. The segmented cover includes a plurality of flaps of rigid material, each having a generally rectangular elongated profile and arranged adjacent and parallel to one another. The segmented cover also includes a flexible connection between adjacent ones one of the flaps to allow the segmented cover to be rolled cylindrically into the opened position. The flexible connection includes flexible material overmolded on the flaps in one or more different configurations. A method of constructing the segmented cover for a head-up display unit is also provided.
Trim assembly comprising a display device and vehicle comprising such trim assembly
A vehicle trim assembly that includes a trim and a display device having a display screen with a first display zone and a second display zone. The display device is movable relative to the trim between a first stable position, in which the first display zone is visible and the second display zone is hidden by the trim, and a second stable position, in which the first display zone and the second display zone are both visible. The second stable position is offset relative to the first stable position along a first direction perpendicular to the display screen in the first position, in the direction toward which the display screen is facing.
PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE, AND OPERATION METHOD AND OPERATION PROGRAM FOR PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE
An HUD includes a housing that accommodates a light modulation unit that spatially modulates light emitted by a light source; a projection optical system that is accommodated in the housing and projects the light that has been spatially modulated onto a windshield 2 through an opening portion K of the housing; a cover that closes the opening portion K; a separation member that is movable and is for separating a front surface of the cover into a plurality of regions; a driving unit; and an object detecting unit that detects an object approaching the front surface of the cover. The driving unit moves the separation member to a position on the cover to separate the cover into a plurality of regions when the object detecting unit detects an object, and leaves the separation member retracted from the position on the cover when an object is not detected.
PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE
A projection display device includes: a light modulation unit that spatially modulates, in accordance with image data that is input, light emitted by a light source; a housing that accommodates the light modulation unit; a projection optical system that is accommodated in the housing and projects the light that has been spatially modulated onto a projection surface of a vehicle through an opening portion of the housing; and a cover that closes the opening portion, the cover has a shape whose longitudinal direction is a direction extending from a driver's seat of the vehicle toward a passenger seat of the vehicle, and a front surface of the cover is closer to the projection surface than a reference plane and has a shape as defined herein.
PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE, AND OPERATION METHOD AND OPERATION PROGRAM FOR PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE
An HUD includes a housing that accommodates a light modulation unit that spatially modulates light emitted by a light source; a projection optical system that is accommodated in the housing and projects the light that has been spatially modulated onto a windshield of a vehicle 1 through an opening portion of the housing; a cover that closes the opening portion; a protection member that is movable and is for protecting the cover; a driving unit that drives the protection member; and an object detecting unit that detects an object approaching a front surface of the cover. The driving unit moves the protection member to a position above the cover and causes the protection member to cover the cover when the object detecting unit detects an object, and the driving unit leaves the protection member retracted from the position above the cover to expose the cover when the object detecting unit does not detect an object.
Support for a device, such as a smartphone
A support for receiving and holding a device, such as a smart phone, in a vehicle. The support includes a first jaw, able to receive a first edge of the device, and a second jaw, able to receive a second edge of the device. The support also includes a sheath and an arm, the arm being able to translate relative to the sheath. The arm includes two segments, articulated to one another using a rotation axis such that the distal segment is urged to rotate relative to the proximal segment in the direction bringing the second jaw closer to the first jaw.
