An on-vehicle display device includes a fixed panel fixed to a vehicle body, a display unit, and a bracket that fixes the display unit to the fixed panel. In the display unit, the display cover plate is provided with an overhang which laterally overhangs from a display area, and the overhang has a back side supported by a support piece of the bracket without being fixed to the fixed panel.

A reflection display system for displaying a display image for a vehicle occupant of a motor vehicle by reflecting the display image on a windshield is provided. The system includes a display unit which is designed to display the display image on a display surface, a detection sensor system for detecting the displayed display image on the display surface, and a control unit which is designed to actuate the display unit for displaying purposes, ascertain detection information on the basis of the detected displayed display image, ascertain the presence of a foreign object on the display surface of the display unit on the basis of the displayed display image and on the basis of the detection information, and signal a disruption of the display if the presence of a foreign object on the display surface of the display unit has been ascertained.

A component for a vehicle interior is disclosed; a method for producing the component is also disclosed. The component comprises a base and a cover comprising an exterior surface providing the visible surface and an interior surface; the visible surface at the cover may comprise a display operated by light source/panel configured to present an image at an image presentation area. The image presentation area may comprise a formed image presentation area; the formed image presentation area may comprise at least one formed hole formation segment comprising at least one formed hole formation based on a hole pattern segment for a pattern image area. The image presentation area of the cover may comprise each formed hole formation comprising formed hole formation segments; each formed hole formation may comprise an opening through the cover generally corresponding to a hole of the hole pattern segment. A composite visual effect may be presented at the cover of the component; the external surface of the cover may comprise a surface effect such as by a veneer configured to provide a visual effect; the formed image presentation area is configured to provide a visual effect such as by the image illuminated at the display from the light source/panel. The formed hole formations for the image presentation area of the cover may comprise laser-formed openings formed through the internal surface and external surface of the cover.

Lens fogging or frosting on inside surfaces of an instrument lens may be reduced or prevented by sealing the instrument housing. Damage or rupture of the sealed housing due to an increase or decrease in pressure within the housing may be avoided while reducing introduction of moisture into the housing by venting the housing through a tube to a location having a relatively lower humidity.

A vehicle seat with touch control function includes a seat armrest, the seat armrest includes an armrest frame, a flexible pad, a flexible touch panel, and a protective cover. The flexible touch panel is elastic, and the flexible touch panel includes a flexible substrate and a carbon nanotube touch function layer to collect touch input from a user. Such flexible touch panel may be installed on or in armrest of any seat in vehicle, enabling control of a display while comfortably seated, having to lean forward is avoided.
