A pointer device has a light-guiding body, constituted by a shaft, a hub coaxial with the shaft and having a rear surface covered by a shield, and a pointer, which projects radially from the hub; the device also has a cap, which is defined by at least one piece separate from said light-guiding body and is mounted on the hub in a fixed position; the hub has an emitting surface, a first reflecting surface configured to reflect and direct a first light flow from the shaft to the pointer, and at least a second reflecting surface, which is configured to reflect and direct a second light flow from the shaft to the emitting surface and is, at least in part, set apart from the first reflecting surface; the cap has at least one light-permeable area, aligned with the emitting surface, and a barrier arranged radially between the emitting surface and the first reflecting surface.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A display device for a vehicle includes: a ring portion and a moving mechanism to display various vehicle information associated with a travel of the vehicle for a viewer within a display area. The ring portion forms an outer periphery of an indicator indicating at least one vehicle information of the various vehicle information, and is visually recognized as a virtual image within the display area. The moving mechanism is able to move a position of the ring portion.

The disclosure relates to a combination indicating instrument, and has as its object to devise a hybrid combination display instrument for displaying information in a motor vehicle in a manner so as to provide a homogeneous and smooth transition between an analog display region and a digital display region within the hybrid combination display instrument. Also included for guiding the light generated by the light source, is a light guiding device, which has a first surface facing away from the viewer (viewing individual), and a second surface facing toward the viewer.
Instrument Panel Meter
An instrument panel meter including a flexible face and a pointer. The flexible face includes indicators configured to convey information to a user regarding operation of the vehicle. The pointer is beneath the flexible face, and is movable between an inactive position and an active position. In the inactive position, the pointer does not stretch the flexible face. In the active position, the pointer does stretch the flexible face at or proximate to one of the indicators so as to convey information to the user regarding operation of the vehicle.
IRREGULAR SHAPE DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING HOLE
An irregular shape display having a hole according to the present disclosure may insert a cylinder-shaped guide member with the same material as that of a light guide plate within a hole to reduce a luminance difference between the front and the back of the hole, thereby improving a dark portion in the vicinity of the hole.
Furthermore, the present disclosure may attach a reflection sheet to an upper portion of the guide member to block light leaked out between the light guide plate and the guide member.

VEHICLE CLUSTER GAUGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING THE SAME
A method of calibrating and controlling a gauge, to which a stepper motor is applied in a cluster of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), includes: receiving information corresponding to an operation state of an electric motor from a certain controller; and controlling a gauge angle indicated by a needle of the gauge to correspond to a target gauge angle indicated by the received information. The step of controlling includes: setting a dropping flag when the target gauge angle is lower than a previous gauge angle; and calibrating the target gauge angle to drop by a reference angle when the target gauge angle corresponds to an angle value that is different from a lowest point of the gauge while setting the dropping flag.

A device is provided for the purpose of displaying the instantaneous fuel economy of a motor vehicle. That device includes an indicator having indicia on a fascia and an indicator needle. That indicator needle includes an outline which contrasts with the fascia and a plurality of differently-colored segments. The controller determines the instantaneous motor vehicle fuel economy and illuminates the plurality of differently-colored segments to provide a visual indication of instantaneous motor vehicle fuel economy.
