CONTROL APPARATUS FOR HYBRID VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR HYBRID VEHICLE
An electronic control unit is configured to select one of a series mode, a series-parallel mode and a parallel mode as a running mode. A load level of a hybrid vehicle is set to a value that is high in the order of a load level at which the parallel mode is selected, a load level at which the series-parallel mode is selected, and a load level at which the series mode is selected. That is, the electronic control unit selects the series-parallel mode in an intermediate load region, selects the series mode in a low load region, and selects the parallel mode in a high load region.
DISCHARGING CONTROL SYSTEM OF VEHICLE, DISCHARGING CONNECTOR, VEHICLE, AND DISCHARGING CONTROL METHOD OF VEHICLE
A discharging control system of a vehicle that supplies power to a load device outside the vehicle via a power cable, includes a connection signal line, a detector, and a controller. The connection signal line is configured such that a potential thereof changes in response to a discharging connector provided on the power cable being connected to the vehicle. The detector is configured to detect the potential of the connection signal line. The controller is configured to control a physical quantity related to the power supplied from the vehicle to the load device, based on the potential detected by the detector.
Control systems and methods for modifying a battery state of charge signal
A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, an electric machine, a traction battery electrically connected to the electric machine, and a controller. The controller is programmed to, in response to the vehicle approaching a decline, overrepresent a state of charge (SOC) of the traction battery to cause a torque command to the engine to decrease and a torque command to the electric machine to increase such that discharge of the traction battery increases in advance of the decline.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle control system includes a first electric motor that causes a vehicle to travel, a second electric motor that generates power by using an output of a power source and starts the power source, a power storage device that stores the power generated by the second electric motor and supplies the power to the first electric motor, a monitoring device that monitors a failure state of the vehicle, and a switch that switches the vehicle to travel from the first electric motor to the second electric motor. In a case of a predetermined driving state in which the monitoring device detects a failure of the first electric motor and a driving force is obtained from the second electric motor, the monitoring device controls the switch to switch the driving force for causing the vehicle to travel from the first electric motor to the second electric motor.
Hybrid energy storage system control for an aircraft engine
A power system of an aircraft includes a hybrid energy storage system with at least two energy storage subsystems each having a different power-energy density. The power system also includes one or more electric motors operably coupled to the hybrid energy storage system and to an aircraft engine. The power system further includes a means for controlling one or more electric power flows of the hybrid energy storage system to/from the one or more electric motors based on a modeled electric power demand associated with an engine load of one or more spools of the aircraft engine.

Hybrid-type engine generator output controller
In an output control of a hybrid-type engine generator equipped with a load output demand detecting unit, a load output demand increase/decrease determination unit and an output control unit, a configuration is adopted whereby load output demand from (output required by) the load is detected, increase/decrease of the detected load output demand is determined, discharge power from the battery is added to generated power output of the engine generator unit when detected load output demand is determined to be increasing, and output of the engine generator unit is controlled so as to use some generated power output of the engine generator unit as charge power of the battery when detected load output demand is determined to be decreasing.
DRIVE TRAIN CONFIGURATIONS FOR A VEHICLE WITH MULTIPLE REVERSIBLE ENGINES
Systems and methods of providing a configurable powertrain in a vehicle are disclosed. The powertrain is capable of operating in a plurality of powertrain configurations and includes one or more reversible generators, a battery system, a motor/generator (M/G), and one or more drive axles. The generators generate and supply electrical power to the battery system, the M/G, an external power source, or a combination thereof. The battery system selectively supplies electrical power to the generators, the M/G, the external power source, or a combination thereof. The one or more generators also selectively supply cooling to the battery system, a cab of the vehicle, a trailer or external enclosure or structure of the vehicle, or a combination thereof. The powertrain configurations of the vehicle include operating the components of the powertrain in various combinations based on demands of the vehicle and/or external power sources or structures.
Control device
A control device for a hybrid vehicle is provided with a driving plan preparing part preparing a driving plan setting one or more via-points on a projected route from a starting point to a destination to divide the projected route into a plurality of driving routes and divide the driving routes further into pluralities of driving sections and setting which driving mode of an EV mode or HV mode to drive over in each driving section and with a driving mode switching part switching the driving modes according to a driving plan. The driving plan preparing part is configured to be able to prepare a driving plan setting the driving modes of all driving sections in at least one driving route to the EV mode.
