Methods and systems are disclosed configured to charge an electrical vehicle. A charge request is received for a first electrical vehicle parked at a first parking spot. A battery charging device is connected to a first head unit comprising a first charging cable located in proximity to the first parking spot. A charge request is received for a second electrical vehicle parked at a second parking spot. A determination is made as whether the first electrical vehicle is no longer being charged, and in response to determining that the first electrical vehicle is no longer being charged, the battery charging device is disconnected from the first head unit and is connected to a second head unit comprising a second charging cable located in proximity to the second parking spot.

This disclosure is directed to methods and systems for charging an electric vehicle. A charging system may be used to charge the energy storage devices of an electric vehicle by using the power generation or regeneration systems or devices of the vehicle. The vehicle may access the charging system by positioning one or more wheels of the vehicle adjacent to, or on top of, one or more drive rollers of the charging system. The driver rollers may be rotatably coupled to one or more motors. A controller may control operation of the charging system, including the charging of the vehicle, by causing the motor to cause the drive rollers to rotate. The wheels of the vehicle may rotate in response to rotation of the drive rollers, causing power generation or regeneration systems of the vehicle to generate energy to store in an energy storage device of the vehicle.

LOW FREQUENCY SENSOR BASED APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING VEHICLE POSITION
20230122546 · 2023-04-20 ·

A method for measuring a position, is performed by a vehicle assembly (VA) for alignment between a ground assembly (GA) and the VA. The method includes transmitting low frequency (LF) signals to initiate alignment with the GA and estimating a position of a vehicle using at least one sensor mounted on the vehicle. Information regarding the estimated position of the vehicle is provided to the GA and information regarding a position of the vehicle measured by LF receive antennas of the GA and an acceleration flag calculated by the GA is received. Accordingly, a transmission strength of the LF signals transmitted by the VA is adjusted based on the information regarding the position of the vehicle measured by the LF receive antennas and the acceleration flag.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED OPERATION AND HANDLING OF AUTONOMOUS TRUCKS AND TRAILERS HAULED THEREBY

A system and method for operation of an autonomous vehicle (AV) yard truck is provided. A processor facilitates autonomous movement of the AV yard truck, and connection to and disconnection from trailers. A plurality of sensors are interconnected with the processor that sense terrain/objects and assist in automatically connecting/disconnecting trailers. A server, interconnected, wirelessly with the processor, that tracks movement of the truck around and determines locations for trailer connection and disconnection. A door station unlatches/opens rear doors of the trailer when adjacent thereto, securing them in an opened position via clamps, etc. The system computes a height of the trailer, and/or if landing gear of the trailer is on the ground and interoperates with the fifth wheel to change height, and whether docking is safe, allowing a user to take manual control, and optimum charge time(s). Reversing sensors/safety, automated chocking, and intermodal container organization are also provided.
