Vehicles and methods for controlling a battery of the vehicle based on remaining battery charge. A vehicle may include a battery configured to supply electricity to native and external electrical components of the vehicle. The vehicle may include an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the battery. The ECU may be configured to receive a priority rank for each of the electrical components. The ECU may be further configured to stop the battery from supplying the electricity to one or more of the electrical components that are below a predetermined priority rank when a charge of the battery is low.

Traction-battery control in hybrid powertrain

A computer includes a processor and a memory storing processor-executable instructions. The processor is programmed to prevent a traction battery from providing power to a vehicle powertrain below a charge threshold, and then, upon one of (a) receiving an acceleration demand above an acceleration threshold and (b) predicting that a planned maneuver classified as high acceleration will occur within a time threshold, permit the traction battery to provide power to the vehicle powertrain below the charge threshold.

Power supply device

A power supply device is mountable to a vehicle and includes: a high-voltage battery; a low-voltage battery of which an output voltage is lower than that of the high-voltage battery, and which can be charged by output power from the high-voltage battery; and a control unit configured to perform charging/discharging control for the high-voltage battery and the low-voltage battery. The control unit performs feeding control for causing the high-voltage battery to supply power to a predetermined on-vehicle device while consumed power is higher than a predetermined value in a state in which a main switch of the vehicle is not on.

Electronic control system for electric refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle including a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, the body assembly defining a refuse compartment, an electric energy system configured to store power and supply power to the refuse vehicle, and a power control system configured to measure one or more electrical attributes of the refuse vehicle and determine a power profile for the refuse vehicle, the power profile describing a length of time the refuse vehicle can continue to operate based on a remaining power of the electrical energy system, and wherein the power control system controls operation of a lift assembly of the refuse vehicle based on the power profile.

METHOD OF CHARGING AND DISCHARGING BATTERY OF ELECTRIC AIR VEHICLE
20230060523 · 2023-03-02 · ·

A method of charging a battery of a subject electric air includes determining whether a second electric air vehicle is using supply equipment cooperating with an access point, based on occupation information received from the access point; when it is determined that the second electric air vehicle is not using the supply equipment, charging a high-voltage battery equipped in the subject electric air vehicle with power supplied from the supply equipment after the electric air vehicle moves to the access point and lands at a designated landing point; when charging of the high-voltage battery is completed, receiving a movement limit speed of each of a plurality of movement intervals between other access points from the other access points disposed in a movement path of the subject electric air vehicle; and moving the subject electric air vehicle in the movement intervals based on the respective movement limit speeds.

Working equipment with electrically powered hydraulically operated arm arrangement
11629480 · 2023-04-18 · ·

Working equipment including a hydraulically movable arm arrangement for a crane, an electric motor, a hydraulic pump, and a pump controller. An equipment controller is arranged to determine a maximum flow limit from the pump in dependence of a comparison of a current limit received from a battery system and a current consumption monitored by the pump controller, and to compare the determined limit with required flow of hydraulic fluid from the pump needed to move the movable arm arrangement in accordance with operating signals, and if the result does not fulfil a rule of a set of fluid control rules, the controller adapts the operating signals to reduce flow of hydraulic fluid to at least one of a plurality of actuators according to a rule of a set of adaptation rules, such that at least one rule of the set of fluid control rules is fulfilled.
