Seat system for a vehicle
A seat system for a vehicle includes a seat having a seat bottom on which a person can sit. An intermediate support structure is secured to the seat and the vehicle which allows the seat to rotate relative to the vehicle. An actuator can interact with the seat to cause the seat to rotate relative to the vehicle. One or more sensors can each measure an aspect of motion. A processor can (i) receive input from each of the one or more sensors, (ii) determine from this input a measure of rotation of the vehicle away from a nominal, level horizontal orientation, and (iii) utilize the input to determine a desired rotation of the seat. An angle that the seat has been rotated away from a nominal, level orientation is more than insubstantially larger than an angle that the vehicle has rotated away from a nominal, level horizontal orientation.
Active vehicle seat architecture for inertial compensation in motor vehicles
Disclosed are active vehicle seat assemblies, methods for making and using such seat assemblies, and vehicles with active seat assemblies for counteracting unwanted inertial forces. An active vehicle seat assembly is disclosed that includes an occupant chair with interconnected seat and backrest portions. A motion sensor detects motion of the occupant chair and outputs signals indicative thereof. An automated platform movably mounts the occupant chair to the vehicle body. The platform includes: a pitch plate that pivots about two lateral axes; a pitch actuator that selectively pivots the pitch plate; a roll plate that pivots about two longitudinal axes; and a roll actuator that selectively pivots the roll plate. An on-board controller responds to signals from the motion sensor indicative of inertial motion disturbances to the chair by transmitting control signals to the pitch and/or roll actuators to pivot the pitch and/or roll plates to thereby counteract the inertial disturbances.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat in which a swiveling motion of a sub-frame is restricted only to a desirable direction is provided. A sub-frame is suspended from a seatback frame. A first elastic member connects a right upper end of the sub-frame to the seat back frame, and a second elastic member a left upper end of the sub-frame to the seat back frame. A universal joint mechanism connects a lower lateral portion of the sub-frame to a lateral member of the seat back frame.
Farm vehicle
A farm vehicle includes a seat that converts between sitting and kneeling positions. The seat has three cushions: a first one to support a user's chest and head, a second to supports his knees, and a central cushion that pivots transversely between a lowered position and a raised position. In the lower position, the third cushion supports the user's pelvis in the kneeling position. In the raised position, the third cushion forms a sitting part in a sitting position. The slide-way comprises a supporting slide-way that allows translation of the seat in a direction of travel. The seat is mounted on a base that pivots on the slide-way to allow the first, second, and third cushions to pivot about a vertical pivot axis of the farm vehicle.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat in which a thickness of a seatback is reduced is provided. A supporting mechanism comprises a pivot shaft, a hub member, and a reinforcement shaft. A front end of a seat base frame is connected to a lower frame through a first joint in a pivotal manner. One end of a pivot shaft is connected to a rear end of the seat base frame in a pivotal manner, and other end of the pivot shaft is connected to a hub through a second joint in a pivotal manner. The pivot shaft and the reinforcement shaft are overlapped in a width direction of the vehicle at least partially.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A SEAT
An adjustable motor vehicle seat includes a main part, an attachment which is movable relative to the main part, and at least two guide elements. Each guide element has a surface which is spherical in at least one portion, and a receiving portion configured for receiving the main part or the attachment at least in part. The guide elements are mounted in a bearing point of at least one of the main part and the attachment and arranged one behind the other with respect to a direction of translation of the attachment relative to the main part.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A SEAT
An adjustable motor vehicle seat includes a main part, an attachment which is movable relative to the main part, and a guide element which includes a receiving portion configured for receiving the main part or the attachment at least in part and having a surface which has at least one portion shaped spherically. The guide element is mounted in a bearing point of at least one of the main part and of the attachment, said bearing point having a cross section which at least in one portion is circular.
VEHICLE SEAT
Provided is a vehicle seat that facilitates setting of a starting load of a movable member. The vehicle seat includes a movable mechanism including: first and second springs coupled to a frame; a movable member displaceable relative to the frame; a first passive member and a second passive member coupled with the respective first and second springs; and a restriction member configured to restrict displacement of the first and second passive members. The movable member displaces the first passive member in a first direction when the movable member is displaced in the first direction, and displaces the second passive member in a second direction when the movable member is displaced in the second direction. The restriction member restricts displacement of the first passive member from a first-passive-member initial position in the second direction and displacement of the second passive member from a second-passive-member initial position in the first direction.
RAMP MOUNT
Ramp mounts may facilitate the movement of a passenger seat pan relative to a passenger seat frame during movement of the seat pan between an upright position and a recline position relative to the passenger seat frame. During cycling of the seat pan from the recline position to the upright position, ramp mounts may break. Embodiments of the ramp mount disclosed herein may increase the ramp mount durability so as to reduce the instances of ramp mounts breaking during cycling of the seat pan between the recline and upright positions. Additionally, some embodiments may provide for a ramp mount that has fewer components. Such embodiments may simplify coupling of the ramp mount to a seat pan and may reduce passenger seat system assembly time. Moreover, in some embodiments, the reduced number of components may further reduce manufacturing time and/or coststhereby providing a relatively low cost ramp mount.
Vehicle seat for a motor vehicle
A vehicle seat for a motor vehicle, includes an adjustable seat base, an adjustable backrest surface and adjustable lateral support elements provided on the seat-side and/or the backrest-side, wherein the size or geometry of the lateral support elements, which form a pair and are opposite each other, can variously be changed, and wherein the seat base and/or the backrest surface can be tilted towards one side, electromechanical or pneumatic adjustment means being provided for this purpose.
