A vehicle seat (1) is provided with a cushion frame (5) that can be moved up and down by means of a link mechanism (6). To assist the upward movement of the cushion frame (5), a torsion bar (14) is disposed in a connection pipe (12) having both ends secured to a pair of left and right rear links (11, 11). A position holding member (24) holds the torsion bar (14) and is supported by the connection pipe (12), whereby the positional shift of the axis of the torsion bar (14) is suppressed. The position holding member (24) engages an extension portion (16) extending perpendicular to the shaft portion (15), and thus, does not rotate around the axis relative to the torsion bar (14). Therefore, in the position holding member (24), portions requiring reinforcement against a transverse force from the torsion bar (14) are limited a narrow range, and the position holding member (24) can be reduced in size and weight.

Proposed is a support driver for a seat and a support assembly including the same. The support driver is configured to operate within a limited space while supporting an occupant comfortably and safely. The support assembly has a structure in which the links push the central portion of the cushion in close contact therewith while remaining in intersection with each other. Advantageously, the links are able to push the cushion with a minimum amount of power within a limited space.

The anti-pinch control system includes a motor configured to generate driving force for moving a seat of a vehicle, a pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure applied to the seat, a current measurement sensor configured to measure an amount of current generated by the motor, a database unit configured to store data on an amount of current required to drive the seat that corresponds to the pressure detected by the pressure sensor, and a controller configured to vary an anti-pinch value of the seat based on data corresponding to the pressure applied to the seat.

A seat adjustment system for a vehicle seat is provided. The seat adjustment system includes a seat body; at least one actuating unit, configured to adjust a support of the seat body; a sensing unit, configured to obtain and provide seat information and body shape data of a back of an occupant; and a control unit, configured to control the at least one actuating unit; wherein when one parameter of the seat body changes, the control unit makes a portion of the body shape data of the occupant in a pre-defined range via the at least one actuating unit.
