BACKREST RELEASE SYSTEM
A backrest release system is provided for a seat having a seat bottom, a pivotable backrest, and a releasable latch for locking the backrest relative to the seat bottom. The system comprises a first portion that is mountable to a support structure of the backrest. The first portion includes a carrier and a retainer that is attachable to the carrier so that the retainer is pivotable relative to the carrier. Furthermore, the retainer is connectable to the latch. The system also includes a second portion including a cover mountable on a back panel of the backrest, and a handle configured to be pivotally attached to the cover. The second portion is configured to be attached to the back panel prior to positioning the back panel on the backrest support structure, and the second portion is alignable with the first portion so that the handle may be attached to the retainer.
Seat Having a Backrest Element
A seat has a seat surface element and a first backrest element. The first backrest element can be pivoted from a use position into a stowed position under the seat surface element. The first backrest element can be pivoted under the seat surface element in a guided or optionally in a forcibly guided manner.
Convertible leaning post seating system for marine vessels
A convertible seating system for a marine vessel includes a frame and a seat mounted on the frame and defining a first support surface. A backrest is configured for movement relative to the seat and the frame between a first position and a second position. In the second position, the backrest defines a second support surface lying generally parallel and vertically displaced relative to the first support surface.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes first and second sub-seatbacks also provided as first and second seat cushions mounted on a main seatback to be rotatable in forward-rearward directions. A forward facing position in which an occupant is accommodated while viewing forward and a rearward facing position in which the occupant is accommodated while viewing rearward is easily realized, in response to forward and rearward rotation of the first sub-seatback and the second sub-seatback also provided as first and second seat cushions. Furthermore, a full-bed mode in which the seat is horizontally spread like a bed, a cushion tip-up mode in which the entirety of the seat is positioned upright for ensuring freight loading and an occupant entering and exiting passage, and the like are realized.
SEAT APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A seat apparatus for a vehicle includes a conversion mechanism that converts a disposition of a seatback between a normal position to a converted position, the normal position being a position at which the seatback is disposed at a rear section of the seat cushion and a sitting direction of an occupant is facing forward, the converted position being a position at which the seatback is disposed at a front section of the seat cushion and a sitting direction of an occupant is facing rearward, and a reclining mechanism that biases the seatback toward a neutral position at which the seatback stands upward and that reclines the seatback forward and rearward from the neutral position.
SEAT FOR VEHICLE
A seat for a vehicle includes support links enabling a rotating motion and a sliding motion between a seat frame and seat rails, the support links being mounted so that the seat may be rotated in the forward and rearward directions as in a seesaw motion about a shaft of the vehicle in a width direction of the vehicle, so as to easily implement a facing mode posture, in which passengers sit facing each other, a relaxed comfort posture, etc.
Release Actuator for Vehicle Seat
A release actuator for a vehicle seat includes a spur gear that is rotatable in one direction or in the other direction by receiving rotational force from a motor, and has sliding grooves that are formed in both surfaces of the spur gear and have a predetermined length. A first cable guide is disposed to face one surface of the spur gear and has a protrusion placed in one of the sliding grooves. The first cable guide is connected to a first cable that withdraws a walk-in latch and releases walk-in lock when the first cable is pulled. A second cable guide is disposed to face the other surface of the spur gear, has a protrusion placed in the other sliding groove, and is connected to a second cable that withdraws a folder lock latch and releases folder lock when the second cable is pulled.
Seating solutions for a stationary vehicle
A seating assembly for a vehicle includes a backrest extending between a first surface and a second surface. The second surface opposes the first surface. A first seat base operably couples with the backrest to form a first seat of the seating assembly. The backrest is pivotable between a first use position and a second use position. A second seat base is operably coupled via a connection interface with the backrest. The second seat base and the backrest form a second seat of the seating assembly in the second use position. The second seat faces away from the first seat in the second use position. A cross-sectional plane intersecting each of the first surface and the second surface defines a cross-sectional area of the backrest that remains constant between the first use position and the second use position of the backrest.
Seating solutions for a stationary vehicle
A seating assembly for a vehicle includes a first seat including a first seat base coupled with a backrest. A second seat includes a seat back and a second seat base pivotably coupled with the seat back and moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. A locking feature between the second seat base and the seat back is moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking feature engages the second seat base in the locked position. The locking feature is disengaged from the second seat base in the unlocked position. A connection interface between the backrest and the seat back includes an engaging member and a receiving member. The engaging member selectively engages the receiving member to secure the second seat to the first seat in an attached configuration.
Vehicle seat adjustable between a forward facing setup and a rearward facing setup
The invention relates to a vehicle seat arranged to be adjusted between a forward facing/rearward facing setup. The vehicle seat comprises a seat back and a seat cushion arrangement comprising a seat cushion arranged to be attached to a seat structure, a front pivoting notch and a rear pivoting notch. The seat back comprises a first and a second seat back connection arranged on a seat back side arranged to be releasably engaged with a first and second latch respectively. The second seat back connection is arranged to releasably engage with a first latch when the vehicle seat is in the forward facing setup, and the first seat back connection is arranged to releasably engage with a second latch the vehicle seat is in the rearward facing setup.
