Vehicle seat having a displaceable upper backrest part
The invention relates to a vehicle seat having a seat part and a backrest part, which comprises a lower backrest part and an upper backrest part arranged adjacent thereto in the vertical direction of the vehicle seat, a displacement device being arranged with a first section, which is fixedly connected to the lower backrest part, and with a second section, which is fixedly connected to the upper backrest part, the second section being completely displaceable together with the upper backrest part relative to the lower backrest part by means of a displacement movement directed at least in part in the width direction of the vehicle seat, the first section being arranged completely below the upper backrest part in the vertical direction and forming a guideway for the displacement movement of the second section.
Seating assembly bracket
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seatback having a base. A reclining portion is pivotably coupled to the base at first and second attachment points and includes first and second longitudinal members. A panel is disposed between the first and second longitudinal members. A cross member extends between the first and second attachment points. A bracket is coupled to the panel and is disposed between the panel and the cross member.
UPPER THORACIC SUPPORT FOR VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY
A vehicle seating assembly including a seat and a seatback pivotably coupled to the seat. The seatback includes a frame, a sub-frame member, a carrier, a cushion, and an inflatable member. The sub-frame member is pivotably coupled to an occupant-facing surface of the frame by a bracket. The carrier is coupled to the frame such that the sub-frame member is positioned between the frame and the carrier. The cushion is coupled to an occupant-facing surface of the carrier. The inflatable member is positioned between the occupant-facing surface of the frame and an interior surface of the sub-frame member. The inflatable member is operable between a deflated state and an inflated state. The inflatable member initiates pivotable motion of the sub-frame member of an axis defined by the bracket.
Second row priority seating for vehicles
Aspects of the disclosure relate to vehicles capable of autonomous driving. These vehicles may include seats for accommodating different numbers of passengers. In some cases, the seats may be reconfigurable. For instance, a vehicle may include a first row of seating having a first, passenger use configuration. The first row may allow a passenger to sit in a seat of the first row of seating and access user input controls for the vehicle. The first row of seating may also have a second, folded configuration where the first row is in a folded configuration and no longer usable for passenger seating. The vehicle may also have a second row of seating. When the first row of seating is in the second, folded configuration, the second row of seating may still be usable for seating and may include additional legroom for the passenger as compared to when the first row of seating is in the first passenger use configuration.
VEHICLE SEAT BACKREST, VEHICLE SEAT COMPRISING SUCH A BACKREST, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A SEAT BACKREST
A method for manufacturing a vehicle seat backrest comprises the steps of: providing first and second uprights of a backrest frame and a support member of an upper backrest adjustment device; positioning the first upright partly facing a first side face of the support member and the second upright partly facing a second side face of the support member; moving the first upright relative to the second upright along a transverse direction of the support member, in order to sandwich the support member such that the support member of the upper backrest adjustment device is mounted on the first and second uprights of the backrest frame so as to pivot about a transverse axis.
Stadium seat having a split back recliner and a vehicle including a stadium seat having a split back recliner
A stadium seat having a seat back structure that is movable from a seat back forward position to a seat back rearward position. The seat back structure has an occupant contact surface. In the seat back forward position, the occupant contact surface has a planar contour. In the seat back rearward position, the occupant contact surface has non-planar contour.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat includes a seat portion, a backrest assembly connected with the seat portion and including a first and a second portion slidably connected with each other and a third portion slidably connected with the second portion, and a backrest adjusting system carried with the backrest assembly and configured to provide a first stage of height adjustment where the first and second portions are locked with each other and the third portion is movable relative to the first and second portions for adjustment, and a second stage of height adjustment where the second portion is locked with the third portion and unlocked from the first portion so that the second portion and the third portion are movable in unison relative to the first portion for adjustment.
Conveyance seat
Rigidity is improved at a part where side frame pieces overlap each other in a side frame. In a vehicle seat provided with a seat back frame, a side frame of the seat back frame has a first side frame piece and a second side frame piece partially overlapping each other in a direction of extension of the side frame. The side frame has an overlapping part where both the first side frame piece and the second side frame piece overlap each other. At the overlapping part, the side frame pieces overlap each other in a state where a plurality of closed regions and closed by being surrounded by both side frame pieces are formed in a cross section of the overlapping part intersecting with the direction of extension of the side frame.
REVERSIBLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A reversible seat assembly for use with an airplane. The reversible seat comprises a base assembly and a vertical assembly. The base assembly and the vertical assembly are connected to a support structure and are collectively disposable into and out of a first travel position, a second travel position, and a third travel position. In the first and second travel positions a user or passenger may assume a usual sitting position. In the third travel position the user may assume a reverse sitting position. The base assembly comprises a right segment and a left segment connected and rotationally movable to a central segment. The vertical assembly comprises a lower segment and an upper segment connected to and rotationally movable a middle segment. The reversible seat assembly may further comprise a back armrest connected to an opposite side of said middle segment and structure to provide support to the arms of the user.
