Release mechanism for seat recliner assembly
A seatback adjustment assembly may include a recliner heart, an attachment plate, and a lever. The recliner heart is operable in an unlocked state permitting relative rotation between a seatback and a seat bottom and a locked state preventing relative rotation between the seatback and the seat bottom. The attachment plate is rotationally fixed to the recliner heart. The lever is rotatable between a first state in which the lever is engaged with the attachment plate and a second state in which the lever is disengaged from the attachment plate. When lever is in the first state and the recliner heart is in the unlocked state, rotation of the recliner heart causes corresponding rotation of the seatback relative to the seat bottom. However, the seatback is configured to rotate relative to the seat bottom without causing corresponding rotation of the recliner heart when the lever is in the second state.

A fitting for a vehicle seat may have a first ring gear having first ring gear teeth, a second ring gear having second ring gear teeth, and a planet gear mounted on a planet carrier and which meshes with the first and second ring gear teeth. A blocking planet gear, which can be rotated about a blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation, permanently meshes with the first ring gear teeth and with the second ring gear teeth, and the distance between the blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation and the axis can be changed so that the blocking planet gear can be transferred selectively between locking meshing and non-locking meshing with the first ring gear teeth and/or with the second ring gear teeth. A vehicle seat having a seat part, a backrest and a fitting of this type for setting an angle of inclination of the backrest is provided.

A reclining device for a vehicle seat of the kind comprising a first plate carrying an internal gear and a second plate carrying an external gear cooperating with the internal gear is provided. The reclining device includes first and second wedge elements for preventing undesired rotation of the external and internal gears relative to each other. The reclining device further includes a lock spring comprising one or more locking teeth intended to engage a ring gear which is integral with one of the first and second plates for inhibiting relative rotation of the plates, and one or more spring arms, which elastically urge the locking teeth toward the ring gear. The spring arms outwardly extend from the outer perimeter of the body of the lock spring.

A double fitting for a vehicle seat may have a first fitting part and a second fitting part that are drivingly connected to each other. The double fitting may also have adapter parts that can be connected to at least one of the fitting parts. One of the adapter parts can be connected to a structural part of the vehicle seat or to a vehicle body part, and the other adapter part is movably connected to a limited degree to the other adapter part which can be rigidly connected to the structural part or the vehicle body part. An elastic element is arranged between the adapter parts, a first fitting of the fittings is arranged axially between the adapter parts, and one of the adapter parts is arranged axially between the fitting. A double fitting for a vehicle seat may have a first fitting part and a second fitting part that are drivingly connected to each other. The double fitting may also have adapter parts that can be connected to at least one of the fitting parts. One of the adapter parts can be connected to a structural part of the vehicle seat or to a vehicle body part, and the other adapter part is movably connected to a limited degree to the other adapter part which can be rigidly connected to the structural part or the vehicle body part. An elastic element is arranged between the adapter parts, a first fitting of the fittings is arranged axially between the adapter parts, and one of the adapter parts is arranged axially between the fitting. A vehicle seatback folding device includes: a cushion bracket; a back side frame rotating on the cushion bracket; a spring mounting bracket coupled to rotate integrally with the back side frame around a hinge-coupling part; a return spring for applying, to the back side frame, elastic restoring force for rotating the back side frame in the folding direction of a seatback; and a reverse spring supported in a state in which a first end portion is caught by the spring mounting bracket and a second end portion is caught by a first spring support end.
