Cable seat restraint
A vehicle includes a floor. A seat is supported by the floor. The seat includes a seatback. An actuator is fixed relative to the floor. The actuator is spaced from the seat along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. A track is fixed relative to the floor and is disposed between the seat and the actuator. The track is elongated along the vehicle-longitudinal axis. A slider is disposed in the track. The slider is slidable relative to the track by the actuator to a deployed position. A cable includes a first end fixed relative to the seatback and a second end fixed relative to the slider. The cable is under tension when the slider is in the deployed position.

The track is elongated along the vehicle-longitudinal axis. A slider is disposed in the track. The slider is slidable relative to the track by the actuator to a deployed position. A cable includes a first end fixed relative to the seatback and a second end fixed relative to the slider. The cable is under tension when the slider is in the deployed position.
Seat apparatus
A seat apparatus includes plural links configured to be attached to a base member, a seat cushion frame supported by the links, and a connecting member. The seat cushion frame includes a pair of side walls connected by the connecting member, and a contact portion on at least one of the pair of side walls. At least one of the links includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a projecting portion projecting from the second end portion. The first end portion is rotatably connectable to the base member directly or indirectly about a first rotation axis, the second end portion is rotatably connectable to the side wall directly or indirectly about a second rotation axis, and the projecting portion is configured such that at least when the seat cushion frame is moved to the highest position, a predetermined portion of the projecting portion faces the contact portion.

Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a back frame mounted on a cushion frame via a recliner in a pivotally movable manner. The back frame has a support member connected to the recliner, and a seat back shell supported by the support member. The support member has a side plate portion and a rear plate portion facing a side surface and a rear surface of the seat back shell, respectively, and the side plate portion has a base portion fixed to the recliner, and an extension portion provided to extend more upward than the base portion. The side plate portion is fixed at the extension portion to the side surface of the seat back shell, and the rear plate portion is at least fixed in a region to the rear surface of the seat back shell, the region provided to rise from a lower position of the side plate portion.
Energy absorption device for an occupant in vehicle seat
A restraint system for a vehicle is disclosed. The restraint system includes a seat shaped to accommodate an occupant, wherein the seat includes a seat back and an energy absorption member that expands from a stowed position and into a deployed position. The energy absorption member fills a volume of space behind the seat back when in the deployed position to absorb energy that would otherwise be imparted towards an occupant of the seat during an impact involving the vehicle. The restraint system also includes an impact sensing device generating an impact signal in response to detecting the impact involving the vehicle is imminent. The impact signal indicates an orientation and magnitude of the impact involving the vehicle. The restraint system includes a control module in electronic communication with the energy absorption member and the impact sensing device.
FLOATING SEAT
A seating system for at least one occupant in a vehicle interior is disclosed. The seating system may provide a seat assembly with a base assembly configured to be mounted in the vehicle interior and a seat structure configured to be coupled to the base assembly and providing a seat configured for movement relative to the base assembly. Movement of the seat relative to the base assembly may be made by at least two of recline movement or swivel movement or tilt movement. Recline movement may be generally translating movement of the seat structure. Swivel movement may be rotational movement of the seat structure. Tilt movement may be generally translating movement of the seat structure transverse to recline movement. The base assembly may be a mechanism configured to facilitate movement of the seat structure relative to the base assembly.
