Carrier with shock absorbing material
The disclosed invention will prevent or lessen injury to passengers when used as a supplemental safety device designed to work in combination with existing safety features found in transport vehicles. Family vans or SUVs have seats that are closest to the bumper that use a separate chassis with no crunch/crumble zones, offering minimal or no protection during rear-end collisions. In 2012 Ford Motor analysis stated, when a minivan with a third-row occupant is hit from behind, the occupant is usually a child, is killed at least half of the time. The disclosed invention will decrease harmful or deadly forces which drive the occupants backwards during rear-end collisions and will change this tragic outcome if the force is diminished by 70%, it may save lives.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a back frame, a side frame, and a slider. The side frame includes a first frame member configured to couple the back frame and the slider, a second frame member disposed on one side of the first frame member in a seat width direction and configured to couple the back frame and the first frame member, and a third frame member disposed on the other side of the first frame member in the seat width direction and configured to couple the slider and the first frame member. The side frame is provided such that the first frame member, the second frame member and the third frame member are arranged in the seat width direction at least in a portion between the back frame and the slider.
Lockable armrest
A lockable armrest includes a main body. The lockable armrest also includes a latch assembly operatively coupled to the main body. The latch assembly includes a latch coupled to the main body with a spring resisting movement of the latch during acceleration events below a predetermined acceleration threshold. The latch assembly also includes a locking member operatively coupled to the main body, the latch moveable into engagement with the locking member in response to an acceleration event greater than the predetermined acceleration threshold to lock the lockable armrest in a stowed condition.
Vehicular seating assembly, system and method
The present application is directed to a vehicular seating assembly including a plurality of forward facing seating configurations and a rearward facing seating configuration, the rearward facing seating configuration including an infant seat carrier operationally configured to be concealed from view when the seating assembly is set at a forward facing seating configuration, wherein the infant seat carrier is releasably attachable to the seat member assembly for vehicular seating assembly use and releasably attachable to vehicular child anchors for standalone use of the infant seat carrier apart from the seating assembly.
Latch Assembly
Proposed is a latch assembly with reduced rattle noise. The latch assembly includes a latch bracket mounted on a seatback frame, and includes a latch having a rear side portion hinge-coupled to the latch bracket, having a front side portion bent downward, and having an end portion provided with a claw portion. Furthermore, the latch assembly includes a cable connected to an upper surface of the latch, a hinge bracket coupled to the rear side portion of the latch, a pressing bar horizontally positioned below the claw portion, and a link unit connecting the hinge bracket and the pressing bar to each other, the link unit being connected to the latch bracket, and the link unit being configured such that the pressing bar is moved upward when the latch is rotated downward.
ENERGY ABSORBING BRACKETS FOR PASSENGER SEATS
Seat assemblies including seat brackets and spreader brackets are described. A seat bracket can include an upper portion, a lower portion, and a frangible portion. The frangible portion can be formed from composite material and include a particular layer orientation. A spreader bracket can include a first component configured to couple with a second component to form a coupled structure. A structural fill material can be disposed within the coupled structure. The first component and the second component can be formed from composite material.
SEAT CARRIER FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
The invention relates to a seat carrier for a vehicle seat having a position displacement device for the vehicle seat, which is secured to at least one transverse seat carrier which is arranged on the base of the vehicle, and having a deformation device which is arranged between the position displacement device and the transverse seat carrier and which absorbs by means of deformation catapult movements of vehicle occupants which occur in the event of a collision. It is proposed that at least one crashbox be provided between the position displacement device and the transverse seat carrier as a deformation device.
Seat system
A seat system having a seat bottom and a cross beam. The seat bottom may include a support block, a cushion, and a trim cover. The cushion may be disposed on the support block. The trim cover may be disposed on the cushion. The cross beam that is disposed on the support block such that the cross beam does not extend through the seat bottom.
Food Tray System
A food tray system includes a vehicle that has at least one seat. A supporting unit is removably supported on the at least one seat. The supporting unit may support food items thereby facilitating the food items to be consumed in the vehicle. A pair of straps is provided and each of the straps is coupled to the supporting unit. Each of the straps removably engages the at least one seat such that the supporting unit is removably supported on the seat.
