A vehicle fitting has a support element, a part moveable on the support element between a two positions, a stop on the support element, and a latch element movable between a latch position engaged between the stop and the movable part to impede movement of the movable part into one of the first and second positions and a release position not impeding movement of the support element into the one of the first and second positions. A pivot joint is formed by an elongated hole and an axle. The hole has a wide first end region and a narrow second end region, and the axle is engaged in the hole and movable between the end regions thereof. Thus, on sudden stopping, the axle moves from a position loosely engaged in the first end region to a position snugly engaged and wedged in the second region.

LONGITUDINAL ADJUSTER AND VEHICLE SEAT

A longitudinal adjuster (10) for a vehicle seat (1), including at least one rail pair which is formed from a first seat rail (12) and a second seat rail (14), the seat rails (12, 14) of the rail pair encompassing one another and being movable relative to one another in the longitudinal direction (x) and being able to be locked to one another via a locking device (16), the locking device (16) having at least one locking element, in particular at least one latching plate (18) which is movable in the vertical direction (z), the longitudinal adjuster (10) having an additional locking means (30) which is normally inoperative and is actuated only in the event of a crash by mass inertia. A vehicle seat (1), in particular a motor vehicle seat, includes a seat part (2) and a longitudinal adjuster (10).

A motor-vehicle seat longitudinal adjuster (10) includes a seat part seat rail (14) and a vehicle structure seat rail (16). The seat rails (14, 16) are slidable relative to each other in a longitudinal direction (x) and engage each other forming an inner channel (18). An anchor (20), fastened to the second seat rail (16), is arranged in the inner channel (18). A reinforcing profiled element (22), fastened to the first seat rail (14), is arranged in the inner channel (18). The reinforcing profiled element (22) and the anchor (20) are spaced apart from each other and engage with each other in response to a defined application of force (a crash). The reinforcing profiled element (22) has a connecting section (24) extending out of the inner channel (18) toward a rear for connection to a rear end surface (8) of a seat frame side part (6).

CATCHER PIN FOR DYNAMIC MANAGEMENT OF EXTERNAL LOADS

A vehicle seating assembly includes a frame rail having a rear catcher pin. A seat frame slidably engages the rear catcher pin at a lateral support. A head of the catcher pin is vertically offset from the seat frame in a static condition. During an impact condition, the seat frame deflects upward and engages the head of the catcher pin to define a dynamic structure condition.

FOUR-WAY PITCHING MECHANISM FOR A SEATING ASSEMBLY

A seating assembly includes a striker pin operably coupled to a track assembly, a sector arm operably coupled to a seat base and defining a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis, a dual cam latch disposed between the second pivot axis and the seat base when the sector arm is in a raised position and engageable with the striker pin when the sector arm is in a lowered position, wherein the dual cam latch is releasable by a forward movement of a seatback, a release cam operably coupled to the sector arm along the second pivot axis, wherein the release cam is configured to rotate downward when the sector arm is in the raised position, and a release bar including a front portion and a rear portion, wherein the rear portion is engageable by the release cam.

Vehicle seat

In a vehicle seat including an upper rail, a lower rails, a lock mechanism for normally locking the upper rail relative to the lower rail, and a lock release member for selectively unlocking the upper rail relative to the lower rail, a deformation restraining member is fixedly attached to the lower rail, and extends toward a part of the lower rail so as to define a small gap relative to the lower rail.

A rail for vehicle seat that has first and second sliding rail members driven by a motorized drive mechanism. The rail further includes a mechanical latch actuated when crash conditions are detected.

Locking mechanism with increased safety feature

A locking mechanism (1), in a motor vehicle, includes two elements (2, 4) that abut one another along a contact region (10). At least one element (2, 4) has a coating (9) at least in the contact region. The coating alters under stress during an accident, such that the contact region (10) between the two elements becomes larger and/or a coefficient of friction between the two elements increases.

Emergency vehicle patient transport systems

Emergency vehicle patient transport systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, an emergency vehicle patient transport system includes: a loading passage providing access to an interior of an emergency vehicle; one or more tracks coupled to a floor of the emergency vehicle, a ceiling of the emergency vehicle, a wall of the emergency vehicle or combinations thereof wherein, a travel path is delineated by the one or more tracks; and a chair slidingly engaged with the one or more tracks, and vertically positioned between the floor and the ceiling. The chair locks in one or more set positions. And, the one or more set positions are selected from a group consisting of an airway care position, an extended airway care position, a procedural care position, a responder position, a patient care position, and a patient load position.
