Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat comprising a seat member and a backrest, wherein a belt connection is attached to or integrated into the upper end of the backrest, a mechanical coupling device is provided for coupling the backrest to the assembly for adjustment of the inclination of the seat member in the event of a collision. A triggering threshold is defined wherein the backrest is decoupled from the assembly under normal operating conditions, and wherein in a collision, when the triggering threshold is exceeded, the backrest pivots forwards and is finally coupled via the mechanical coupling device to the assembly, so that further pivoting of the backrest forwards triggers the assembly and causes the front region of the seat member facing away from the backrest to pivot upwards about a transverse axis.

Recliner heart for seat assembly
A recliner heart includes a housing member, a locking plate and a pawl. The housing member includes a plate surface having a first recess and a second recess. The locking plate includes a surface having teeth formed thereon. The pawl is movable in the first recess between a secure position in which the pawl is engaged with the teeth of the locking plate and a release position in which the pawl is disengaged from the teeth of the locking plate. The pawl includes a boss slidably received in the second recess. A first lateral side of the boss abuts against a sidewall of the second recess upon an impact event.

SEAT LOCK DEVICE
A seat lock device includes: a hook member; and a cam plate. The hook member includes: a hook inclined edge surface and is rotationally biased by contact with a striker entering; an engaging groove into which the striker entering fits after crossing the hook inclined edge surface to bring the hook member into a locked position; a restraining pin; and an interlock pin, the cam plate is set to a limiting position when the hook member engages with the striker and is switched to an allowing position when the striker enters and when an operation performed to release an engagement of the striker, and the cam plate includes: a cam surface that contacts with the restraining pin to rotationally bias the hook member; and an interlock surface with which the interlock pin contacts when the hook member has turned from the locked position.
MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT AND METHOD FOR ABSORBING ENERGY IN A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
A motor vehicle seat includes an adjusting device for adjusting a first seat component. The adjusting device is configured to adjust the first seat component of the motor vehicle seat into a first adjustment region and a second adjustment region. The motor vehicle seat further includes an energy absorption device, which absorbs energy when a threshold load is exceeded. The energy absorbed by the energy absorption device and/or the threshold load when the first component is in the first adjustment region is different from the energy absorbed by the energy absorption device and/or the threshold load when the first component is in the second adjustment region.

Seat lock device
A seat lock device includes: a striker installed in a vehicle body; and a lock unit provided on a seat back tiltable in a seat front-rear direction and holding the seat back in a standing state by locking the striker. The striker includes a base bracket attached to the vehicle body and a U-shaped rod locked by the lock unit, the base bracket has two support portions which respectively support end portions of the rod with a space therebetween in the seat front-rear direction, and at least one of the support portions deforms when a load exceeding a predetermined load is input to the rod so as to permit movement of the end portion of the rod supported by the support portion with respect to the base bracket.

SUBMARINING AVOIDANCE SYSTEM
Aspects of the disclosure relate to reducing the likelihood of injury to a passenger in a collision. In one example, a system for reducing the likelihood of a passenger submarining, may include a restraining device for restraining the passenger. A second restraining device for further restraining the passenger may also be included in the system. A locking mechanism may be configured to prevent a seat back from reclining when the second restraining device is not activated.
