The damping seat structure includes: a first material of a plurality of materials having a first characteristic to provide a first damping effect in a first layer. A second material of the plurality of materials based on a second characteristic to provide a second damping effect in a second layer, the first material or the second material having an adjustable damping characteristic. The suspended seat apparatus includes a seat base configured to have the seat coupled thereto; a suspension system coupled to the seat base, the suspension system comprising: an adjustment feature configured to adjust operation of the suspension system; and a chassis mount coupled to the suspension system, the chassis mount configured to be coupled to a vehicle.
LIGHTWEIGHT CUSHION SUSPENSION AND SEATING SURFACE
A cushion suspension for a vehicle seat may have a support structure with a substantially tub-shaped profile and at least two lateral portions. Each of the lateral portions may have a flexible suspension portion. A seating surface assembly for a vehicle seat is also disclosed.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENDED SEAT APPARATUS HAVING TUNED FREQUENCY-TAILORED DAMPING THROUGH A STRATIFIED SEAT STRUCTURE
An adjustable suspended seat apparatus having a tuned frequency-tailored damping through stratified seat structure is described.
Vehicle seat having a suspension unit for cushioning rolling and vertical suspension movements
The invention relates to a vehicle seat having a suspension unit for cushioning the rolling and vertical suspension movements of the vehicle seat, wherein the vehicle seat has a vehicle seat upper part and a vehicle seat lower part, wherein the vehicle seat upper part and the vehicle seat upper part are connected by means of the suspension unit so that the vehicle seat upper part and the vehicle seat lower part are movable relative to one another, wherein the suspension unit comprises a scissor arrangement having a first scissor arm and a second scissor arm, characterised in that the suspension unit is rotatably connected about a first axis of rotation to the vehicle seat lower part and comprises a spring element support and a first spring element, the first spring element being connected on the one hand to the vehicle seat lower part and on the other hand to the spring element support which is rotatably connected about a second axis of rotation to the first scissor arm and rotatably connected about a third axis of rotation to the second scissor arm, and the first spring element being preferably arranged at a first angle to a vehicle seat width direction and at a second angle to a vehicle seat height direction.
Systems and methods for logging isolator performance data
An isolator performance data logging system comprising a displacement unit for measuring a displacement of the isolator. the displacement unit comprises a displacement sensor housing fixable relative to a mitigated end of the isolator, a target fixable relative to an unmitigated end of the isolator. A displacement sensor is located within the displacement sensor housing for measuring a displacement of the target relative to the displacement sensor. A first accelerometer unit is fixable relative to the mitigated end of the isolator. A second accelerometer unit is fixable relative to the unmitigated end of the isolator.
DYNAMIC CONTROL OF ACTIVE SEAT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
Embodiments related to systems and methods for controlling the relative amounts of rotation and heave motions applied to a seat by an active seat suspension system are described.
VEHICLE SEAT HAVING A DEVICE FOR LEVEL REGULATION AND LEVEL STABILIZATION
A device for level regulation and level stabilization of a vehicle seat upper part. The device includes an air spring that spring loads a movement of the vehicle seat lower part and of the vehicle seat upper part relative to one another, the vehicle seat lower part and the vehicle seat upper part are arranged in a non-deflected state at a predeterminable distance from one another. The air spring is fluidically connected to a working volume of an additional volume module. A control unit decreases the volume of the working volume in the event of an increase in the distance and increases the volume of the working volume in the event of a decrease in the distance such that the pressure in the air spring can be changed such that the distance between the vehicle seat upper part and a reference surface is substantially unchanged.
