Isolation system for a seat
10173560 · 2019-01-08 · ·

The present invention is generally related to isolation systems for various seating configurations. The isolation system may comprise a first set of isolators positioned perpendicular to a second set of isolators. The positioning of the first and second sets of isolators may enable the isolation system to exhibit a radial stiffness of at least 350 lbf/inch. The improved radial stiffness of the isolation system may dampen and attenuate the transfer of energy (e.g., vibrations) to the seat, which may facilitate a smoother ride for an operator sitting in the seat.

Shock attenuating mounting

A shock attenuating mounting for a seat, comprising an attenuating element composed of resilient material, the element securable on a first side to a seat and securable on a second side to a vehicle, the element configured to attenuate shock experienced by the vehicle along more than one axis.

Suspension seat back and cushion system having an inner suspension panel

A vehicle seating assembly includes a frame and an inner suspension panel coupled to the frame. A plurality of suspension members attach the frame to the inner suspension panel. Each suspension member has a tab that is biased away from the inner suspension panel and is operable between extended and compressed positions. A cushion is coupled to at least one of the tabs. The cushion includes a plurality of comfort positions defined by the position of each of the tabs.

Vehicle seat comprising a vehicle seat upper part and a vehicle seat lower part, the vehicle seat upper part being movable relative to the vehicle seat lower part, and the vehicle seat upper part being able to be sprung and damped, relative to the vehicle seat lower part, by a suspension and damping element, the suspension and damping element comprising a reversibly deformable plastics element and an adjusting element, the plastics element and the adjusting element being in operative contact, and the spring characteristics of the suspension and damping element being able to be adjusted depending on the position of the adjusting element relative to the plastics element.

Shock Absorbing Structure of an All Terrain Vehicle Seat

The present shock absorbing structure of an ATV seat for an ATV with a vehicle frame and a seat frame, comprising an elastic support member provided between the seat frame and the vehicle frame, the elastic support member supporting the seat frame and allowing the seat frame to move downward and compress the elastic support member when subjected to an external force. The shock absorbing structure further comprises at least one shock absorber block provided between the seat frame and the vehicle frame, the at least one shock absorber block being either attached to the seat frame and having a gap in an up-and-down direction from the 10 vehicle frame, or attached to the vehicle frame and having a gap in the up-and-down direction from the seat frame. The present shock absorbing structure of an ATV seat provides overall enhanced comfort.

Operator platform suspension system for turf maintenance vehicle

An adjustable suspension system for an operator platform that is pivotally attached at a pivot axis to a chassis of a turf maintenance vehicle. The system may include a suspension apparatus selectively attachable either to a support area of the chassis, or to the platform such that the apparatus is located between the support area and the platform. The suspension apparatus may be attachable at either a first location or a second location, wherein the suspension apparatus is spaced-apart from the pivot axis: by a first distance when in the first location; and by a second distance, different than the first distance, when in the second location. The suspension apparatus may include a support member and resilient element(s) attached to the support member.
