Thermal conditioning systems and methods for vehicle regions

Features for a vapor compression system configured to cool and/or cat (i.e. thermally condition) two or more distinct climate controlled vehicle interior components via a common thermal bus are disclosed. Some embodiments employ a single compressor. Some embodiments employ multiple compressors and/or thermal buses, each servicing components located within respective interior thermal zones of a vehicle, for example a front row seat zone, second and/or third row seat zones, and/or an overhead zone and/or a trunk zone.

Seating assembly with ventilation

A vehicle seating assembly includes a first part, a second part with a second foam part, and a barrier with a permeable portion and a non-permeable portion. The vehicle seating assembly also includes an air passageway extending through the first part, the second foam part, and the permeable portion of the barrier and an air mover fluidly coupled to the air passageway for moving air through the air passageway.

VEHICLE SEAT BACKREST

A backrest of a vehicle seat comprises a backrest armature, at least one central upholstery module and two side upholstery modules each arranged on a respective side of the central upholstery module. Each of the at least three upholstery modules is fixed to the backrest armature independently of the other two upholstery modules.

VENTILATION OF SEATING SURFACES IN A FLEXIBLE HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEM

The present invention comprises a ventilation system in a flexible heat exchanger system of a seating assembly. It relates to a flexible layer having perforations positioned underneath the surface of the seat that enables ventilation to control temperature and humidity. The seating assembly comprises of a plurality of layers wherein the seating assembly has an upper layer upon which the occupant is in direct contact with, a middle layer having a heat exchanger system with perforated cooling pads or ventilation system for ventilation and a lower layer which is a cushioned layer having vents. The ventilation system includes but not limited to an array of holes, pores and cavities for maintaining temperature and humidity thus making the seating assembly breathable.

Seat heating system for vehicle

The present disclosure provides a seat heating system for a vehicle including: an exhaust gas inlet tube having one end communicating with a silencer hole formed in a muffler silencer, and the other end mounted on a vehicle body in a front and rear direction of a vehicle and connected to a seat rail coupled to a seat and an exhaust gas outlet tube having one end communicating with a muffler pipe of the rear end of the muffler silencer, and the other end connected to the seat rail, and the present disclosure may not require a seat interior hot wire of a vehicle, and implement a heating function using the waste heat of exhaust gas to heat the seat.

VENTILATED SEAT WITH PERFORATED ELECTROCONDUCTIVE FABRIC HEATING ELEMENTS
20230256877 · 2023-08-17 ·

The present disclosure provides a climatized seat equipped with a ventilation system and a heating system for use separately or synergistically. The heating system includes electroconductive fabric sections having at least one perforation positioned in surrounding relation to a passageway formed in a seat element, for instance a cushion assembly. Each electroconductive fabric section includes conductors electrically coupled to a controller for activating the electroconductive fabric. The electroconductive fabric can be perforated to accommodate complex shapes, features and transitions associated with the surface to be heated and provides more direct and even heat distribution as compared to conventional resistive wires woven into fabric.

VEHICLE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS
