UPPER SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
A seat back frame assembly may include first and second brackets coupled with and extending outwardly from the seat back frame assembly. The first and second brackets may define first and second recesses, respectively. A cushion assembly may include first and second sides. The first and second sides may be disposed within the first and second recesses, respectively. An upper hood comprising first and second ends may be coupled with first and second brackets, respectively.
Skin Material Fastening Clip, and Skin Material Fastening Procedure
A cover-material fixing clip includes: a chuck having a base portion, a first holding piece and a second holding piece; a hook configured to be engaged with a wire to be located in a groove of a cushion material; and an engagement opening defined between the chuck and a leading end of the hook. The base portion, the first holding piece and the second holding piece define a retention groove for holding the held body attached to the cover material. The engagement opening has an opening dimension in a range from 50% to 80% of a width of the retention groove.
Vehicle seat cushion carrier assembly for modular vehicle seat or the like
A vehicle seat cushion carrier assembly (bottom and back) via which a cushion carrier structure, cushion foam, and upholstery are more easily assembled and installed in a vehicle, optionally as a modular unit. The cushion carrier structure can be multi-piece and incorporate any desired trim units. Strap fasteners are used to secure the upholstery to the cushion carrier structure and cushion foam, creating the desired creating seams, creases, and indentations. Clip fasteners are used to secure the upholstery to the cushion carrier structure around the cushion foam, especially with respect to the seat back. This allows much of the upholstering to be done outside the vehicle, optionally in a modular manner. Finally, these modular features and functionalities allow the cushion carrier assemblies (bottom and back) to be quickly and easily secured to the underlying seat pan and/or seat frame using simple screws, hooks, and clip fasteners.
Vehicular bench seat cover system
A vehicular seat bench cover system is provided. The vehicular seat bench cover system provides coverage of each section of the seat benchthe passenger-side, driver-side, center sections of both the back and seat portionseither circumscribed or enclosed in separate covers or covered by the separate cover sections being joined. Mindful that each section can independently move between an upright condition and a folded condition, the seat bench cover system provides a section cover for each section, wherein each separate cover provides a detachable fastener along one or both longitudinal edges so that adjacent section covers can be joined or be independently circumscribed by different permutations of the seat bench cover system depending on whether that section and an adjacent section are in the upright condition or folded condition relative to each other.
Knitted-in laces for shaping and fitting textiles and fabrics
A textile comprising: i) a fabric including a laced region associated with a surface of the textile; and ii) a thread inlaid through a plurality of points proximate a perimeter of the laced region. Tightening the thread causes opposite sides of the laced region to be cinched together, thereby forming the laced region into a flap associated with a second surface of the textile opposite the first surface. The textile further comprises a listing wire disposed in the flap. The fabric forms a plurality of perforations within the laced region. The listing wire may be accessed by an attachment device through at least one of the plurality of perforations.
RETENTION CLIP FOR A SEAT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A retention clip, a seat assembly having a retention clip, and a method of assembly. The retention clip has a spiral anchor and at least one retention feature. The spiral anchor is configured to be screwed into a cushion. The retention feature extends away from the spiral anchor and is configured to secure a seat component to the retention clip.
Edge strip, seat cover and seat comprising a seat cover
An edge strip (10) is provided for a seat cover (6, 20). The edge strip (10) includes an edge strip core (10.1) that is surrounded, in particular cladded, by a fastening material (10.4). A seat cover (6, 20) is provided for a seat (5) and includes the edge strip (10). A seat (5) is also provided that includes the seat cover (6, 20).
SEAT COVER FASTENING CLIP
A clip for securing a cover to an opening defined in a base includes a base defining a lower surface and an upper surface distal from the lower surface, the base further defining a cutout extending from the lower surface to the upper surface; a first wall extending from the upper surface of the base of the clip and defining a first latch nail at a distal end of the first wall; and a second wall extending from the upper surface of the base and defining a second latch nail at a distal end of the second wall, the first latch nail and the second latch nail defining a gap therebetween at the distal end of each of the first wall and the second wall, the cutout defined in the base between the first wall and the second wall.
Fixed attachment for hog ring tie-down trench
A vehicle seat includes a foam body having a first region, a second region, a top surface, and a bottom surface, and a trench defined by and between the first and second regions. The trench includes at least one section including a narrow portion having a first width and extending downwardly into the trench from the top surface, and a base portion below the narrow portion having a second width greater than the first width. The vehicle seat further includes a trim attachment fixture disposed in the foam body below the trench, wherein the trim attachment fixture is configured to be secured to a trim cover by an attachment member disposed in the base portion.
Excessive pull-in prevention suspender for seat cover suspension member and vehicle seat using the same
To prevent wrinkles from occurring on the outer skin member, in a vehicle seat including a urethane pad on which a groove is formed, a fixing member being embedded in the groove; trim covers covering a surface of the urethane pad; a suspender to suspend the trim covers sewn to each other for connection in the groove; and a plurality of tying members to tie the suspender with the fixing member, the suspender is provided with a seat cover suspension member and a reinforcement piece fixed to an edge portion of the seat cover suspension member, a number of slits are formed along the reinforcement piece at a portion of the seat cover suspension member where the reinforcement piece is fixed, and the plurality of tying members tie the suspender with the fixing member with a part of each of the tying members in abutment with the reinforcement piece.
