Cover panel for vehicle seat with invisible tie-down
A cover panel for installation over foam of a vehicle seat includes a first layer with an occupant-facing surface and a foam-facing surface. The foam-facing surface is located opposite to the occupant-facing surface. The first layer is configured to cover at least a portion of the foam of the vehicle seat. The cover panel further includes a second layer bonded to the foam-facing surface of the first layer such that the second layer is obscured from view by the first layer. The cover panel also includes a tie-down connected to the second layer that projects away from the foam-facing surface, wherein the tie-down is configured to tension the first layer when the tie-down is pulled away from the foam-facing surface.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat including: a pad including: a surface pad on a side of a seating surface; and a back pad integrated to the surface pad; and a cover member that covers the pad, a frame-shaped reinforcing member is insert-molded to an outer peripheral edge of the back pad, a part of the reinforcing member, which is a locked portion that locks an end portion of the cover member, is exposed from the back pad, a part in the outer peripheral edge of the back pad other than a part corresponding to the locked portion is formed with recesses, an engagement member attached to the end portion of the cover member being inserted into the recesses, and the part of the back pad corresponding to the locked portion is thinner than a part of the back pad where the recesses are formed.
Chair construction
A chair back assembly includes a frame assembly including a pair of slots extending through the frame assembly, a first location positioned between the pair of slots, and a pair of second locations located outward of an outer periphery of the frame assembly, and a vertically adjustable lumbar assembly configured to support a lumbar area of a seated user and including a central portion and a pair of end portions slidably engaging the central portion, the central portion located in the first location and the end portions located in the second locations, wherein the pair of end portion are slidably moveable within the slots between a first position and a second position that is different than the first position.
Back board attachment structure and vehicle seat
A seat back (2) has a pad (4) with a side surface covered by a trim cover (5) and a rear surface covered by a back board (6). A back board attachment structure has a folding portion (5a1) with a trim back surface edge portion (5a) folded back to a pad side. A fastener (7a) includes an element (7a2) attached to the folding portion (5a1) to face the pad side. An edge portion (6a) of a folding portion (6a1) of the back board (6), to be the backrest surface side, is folded back to the pad side. A fastener (7b) includes an element (7b2) attached to the folding portion (6a1) to face the pad side. The fasteners (7a and 7b) are engageable in a state with the trim cover provided from the backrest surface side and the back board provided from the back surface side, with respect to the pad.
Layered seating system with attachments
A vehicle seat assembly is provided with a structural member adapted to be mounted within a vehicle to provide support to an occupant. The structural member has at least one channel formed therein. A cushion member is provided adjacent to the structural layer. The cushion member has at least one channel formed therethrough. A trim member is secured over the cushion member to form a seating surface. At least one attachment member is mounted to the trim member extending through the at least one channel of the cushion member. The at least one attachment member extends into the at least one channel of the structural member such that at least one of the trim material and the cushion layer is retained on the structural member.
VEHICLE SEAT TRIM ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A FRAME SOCK
A vehicle seat trim assembly includes a seat trim adapted to be located over a seat foam that is supported on a vehicle seat frame. The seat trim includes an occupant support surface and a side trim that is attached to the occupant support surface. The vehicle seat trim assembly also includes a frame sock. The frame sock has a cover having an attachment edge with a top attachment portion that is attached to the occupant support surface and a side attachment portion that is attached to the side trim. The frame sock includes a clip that is attached to the cover and is adapted to engage the vehicle seat frame. The frame sock also has a strap that is attached to the cover between the attachment edge and the clip. The strap is attached to the cover and to a resilient retainer.
Vehicle seat having a recessed central region of the seat pad
A vehicle seat including: a seat pad capable of elastically supporting an occupant, the seat pad having a seating portion that allows the occupant to seat on a front surface thereof, and the seating portion is divided in a seat width direction into a first region, a second region, and a central region formed between the first and the second region, the first region and the second region being capable of being concave-deformed toward a back surface of the seat pad opposite to the front surface when pressed by the occupant in a seating state, and in a free state where the seating portion is not pressed, a central region part in the central region arranged between the first and the second region that are to be concave-deformed has a shape concaved toward the back surface of the seat pad as compared to the first and the second region.
Seat
The present invention provides a seat which is unlikely to cause wrinkles or slack in a surface cover thereof, makes surface cover attachment and detachment simple, and is also capable of withstanding long-term use. To this end, a second fastening part 50 for attachably/detachably connecting a cushion material 2 and a surface cover 4 to one another is formed as a zipper in a seat 1.
Tethering assembly for attaching trim to a vehicle component
A tethering assembly includes an elastomeric strap, a fleece material and a rigid structural component with a hooked end. The tethering assembly holds a trim fabric in place in relation to a vehicle component. Advantageously, the assembly minimizes free play and rattling and helps sliding and detachment in case of partial contact between the tethering assembly and the vehicle component.
Device and method for fastening a backrest cover to a vehicle seat
A device and a method for attaching a backrest cover to a vehicle seat. Provision is made that at least one latching element with which the backrest cover is attached to the vehicle seat in an assembly step is mounted in a floating manner on the backrest cover. In this design, the latching element is movable along a defined guideway relative to the backrest cover.
