Method for forming motor vehicle seat uphosltery
A method for producing a cover element for upholstery of a motor vehicle seat element, includes at least one layer of foam and a cap made at least from a covering material. The forming of the cover element includes the steps of: placing the cap against a matrix defining the visible shape of the cover element, with the covering material on a side of the matrix; holding the cap pressed against the matrix by suction; placing the at least one layer of foam against a back of the covering material; and applying a forming punch defining a rear face of the cover element.
DUAL FIRMNESS FOAM FLEX POINT ELIMINATION
A dual firmness vehicle seat and a method of forming the same is provided. In an embodiment, a vehicle seat assembly includes a seat bottom, and a seatback disposed on the seat bottom. At least one of the seat bottom and seatback includes a first cushion region having a first initial load deflection value, and a second cushion region having a second initial load deflection value different from the first initial load deflection value. The seat assembly further includes a non-continuous trench defined by and between the first cushion region and the second cushion region and having a base forming a cavity therebetween, and connecting regions disposed within the cavity above the base extending between the first and second cushion regions to inhibit flexing between the first and second cushion regions.
Method for producing an element having a cover, and such an element
A method produces an element (3), in particular a vehicle seat, having a seamless cover (2). The seamless cover (2) is optionally provided with a lamination (1). A molding (1.2) is applied and fastened to a surface side (1.1) of the lamination (1) facing away from the cover (2) or to a surface side (2.2) of the cover (2) that is not visible. The fastened molding (1.2) is connected to the cover (2) by bonding.
SURFACE FASTENER, CUSHIONING STRUCTURE, AND SEAT STRUCTURE
A surface fastener formed of a synthetic resin and in which a base with a 0.1 to 0.9 mm thickness and engagement element groups including engagement elements with a 0.2 to 0.8 mm protrusion height are integrally molded, and engagement element rows are composed of the plural engagement elements arranged in a row direction and each protruding independently. A cushioning member is covered with a covering member via the surface fastener. A resistance value of the surface fastener by itself as measured by a handle-o-meter method conforming to the JIS L 1096 E method is 80 to 150 g, whereas a load-deflection characteristic when a pressure is applied to an overlapping portion of the stacked surface fastener and cushioning member by a pressure plate with a 30 mm diameter approximates a similarly measured load-deflection characteristic of the cushioning member by itself.
A PANEL FOR A SEAT
A panel for a seat may have a retention portion with a recessed seat cover groove. The groove may have at least one tooth adapted to selectively retain a seat cover in the groove. The panel may also have a plurality of recessed air flow channels. The panel may also have a rear bolster. The rear bolster may have a leading wall, a connecting wall and a trailing wall. The leading wall may have a first clamp portion and the trailing wall may have a second clamp portion. The clamp portions may be adapted to selectively receive a frame connection member. A seat having a seat base panel and a seat back panel may have seat cover grooves and air flow channels.
Hot melt tape for velcro without sewing and method for manufacturing seat padding material for vehicles using the same
Disclosed are a hot melt tape for hook-and-loop fasteners without sewing which may be adhered at a low temperature and complete hardening of an adhesive resin in a short time and a method for manufacturing a seat padding material for vehicles using the same. The method includes preparing the padding material and a hook-and-loop fabric, preparing a hot melt tape having a hot melt resin layer by coating a surface of a release paper with a reactive hot melt resin having a melting point of 40-80 C. before reacting, adhering the hot melt tape to a surface of the padding material by applying heat of a temperature of 30-70 C. and pressure thereto, removing the release paper, adhering the hook-and-loop fabric to the exposed hot melt resin layer, and hardening the hot melt resin layer by cooling the padding material and the hook-and-loop fabric to a temperature of 0-20 C.
CONTOUR CONNECT
A contour connect system for applying a vehicle trim includes a fabric loop and a low-profile hook component. The fabric loop component includes a spacer layer, Class A surface layer, and a loop-containing layer, the Class A surface layer being adhered to one side of spacer layer while the loop-containing layer is adhered to the opposite side of spacer layer.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: a cover member that covers an ISOFIX anchor for fixing a child seat; an intermediate portion that is exposed at a position between the cover member and the ISOFIX anchor in a state where the cover member is opened; and a stopper that retains the cover member in a state where the cover member is opened, wherein the stopper has an engagement part and an abutting part, wherein the engagement part of the stopper is detachably engaged with at least one of the rear surface and the intermediate portion in a state where the cover member is opened, and wherein the abutting part of the stopper abuts on the other of the rear surface and the intermediate portion so as to prevent the cover member from being moved in a closing direction.
