The seat cover may be divided into vertical sections that correspond to the seats of a bench seat in a vehicle. One or more of the vertical sections may be removable to accommodate movement of the vehicle seats.

A removable trim cover described herein includes a headrest guide to ensure alignment of the removable trim cover to the seat. In one embodiment, the removable trim cover includes a material body sized to cover a front face of a backrest of a seat. The material body has apertures forming a headrest guide. The headrest guide is adapted to align with headrest sleeves in the backrest. The removable trim cover also includes a first zipper portion, disposed around a border of the material body, adapted to be joined with a second zipper portion affixed to the backrest.

A seat for a vehicle having: a base structure configured to be fixed to a floorboard of the vehicle; a cover, which is fixed on top of the base structure, covers the base structure and constitutes the outer part of the seat; and a series of connection devices of magnetic type, each of which has a first body, which is integral with the base structure, and a second body, which is integral with the cover and is configured to be firmly joined to the first body.

A seating system for a vehicle includes a seat component, a seat cover configured to cover at least a portion of the seat component, a connector for connecting the seat cover to the seat component, and an inductive transmitter coil provided on the seat component. The seating system for a vehicle also includes an inductive receiver coil provided on the seat cover and configured to inductively couple to the inductive transmitter coil when the seat cover is connected to the seat component, an electric powered heater provided on the seat cover and configured to receive electrical power from the inductive receiver coil to heat the seat cover, and a shape memory alloy provided on the seat cover and configured to reconfigure the seat cover between a first configuration and a second configuration.

The technical innovation of this invention allows the user to reap the benefit of using a seat cover on the upholstery of their vehicle, but also the benefit of being able to discretely tuck the seat cover away when it is not in use.
