Pump housing, pump, and seat
A pump housing may accommodate a pump unit and a pump motor, especially for a lumbar support function or massage function for mounting in a vehicle seat, wherein the pump motor and the pump unit are attached to one another along a longitudinal axis, and furthermore may support the pump motor with at least two flexible support elements in a radial direction and a second coil spring in an axial direction. Related pump and seat concepts are also disclosed.
Seat adjustment device
To provide a seat adjustment device capable of flexibly changing a shape of a seat. A seat adjustment device for adjusting a shape of a seat includes a pad including an elastomer, and airbags disposed on a front surface and a rear surface of the pad. The airbags are adjustable in amount of air therein. The airbags include a first airbag disposed on one of the front and rear surfaces and of the pad, and a second airbag disposed on the other. The first airbag is longer than the second airbag in a direction substantially perpendicular to the front and rear surfaces of the pad. The second airbag is longer than the first airbag in a direction substantially parallel to the front and rear surfaces of the pad.
Seat for vehicle and method of controlling the same
Proposed are a seat for a vehicle and a method of controlling the same capable of sensing whether an occupant is snoring and of changing the posture of the occupant so as to induce sound sleep of the occupant. The seat for a vehicle includes a seat cushion, a seatback, a side bolster, a headrest, a sensing device mounted in the headrest to sense whether an occupant is on the seat and whether the occupant is snoring, a posture-changing device mounted in at least one of the seat cushion, the seatback, the side bolster, or the headrest to change the posture of the occupant, and a controller configured to determine whether the occupant is on the seat and whether the occupant is snoring based on a sensing signal output from the sensing device and to operate the posture-changing device.
SEAT BACKREST
A seat backrest includes right and left side frame segments, a pressure receiving member disposed between the side frame segments movably in a front-back direction, and a cushion pad covering the front of the side frame segments and pressure receiving member. The pressure receiving member includes a main body part, and extending parts extending laterally from both sides of the main body part. The cushion pad includes a back receiving part covering the front of the main body part, and bank parts disposed on both sides of the back receiving part, protruding forward from both sides, and covering the front of the extending parts and side frame segments. A recess is formed at an area, facing a corresponding extending part of the extending parts, of a rear surface of each bank part.
SEATING APPARATUS
Aspects of the present invention relate to a seat cushion (1) including a compressible member (15) and at least one insert (16). The insert (16) has one or more inflatable bladders (17-n). The at least one insert (16) is at least partially encapsulated within the compressible member (15). Further aspects of the present invention relate to a method of forming a seat cushion (1); a seat assembly (2) and a vehicle (V).
APPARATUS FOR A SEAT, MORE PARTICULARLY A VEHICLE SEAT, FOR MOBILIZING AT LEAST ONE REGION OF A SPINAL COLUMN OF A SEAT OCCUPANT, METHOD FOR SEQUENTIALLY DRIVING AN APPARATUS AND SEAT, MORE PARTICULARLY VEHICLE SEAT
An apparatus for a vehicle seat for mobilizing at least one region of a spinal column of a seat occupant sitting in the seat may have a plurality of expandable elements, which may be each filled or fillable with a medium. The expandable elements are drivable sequentially. A method for sequentially driving the apparatus and and a vehicle seat are also provided.
LATCHING VALVE
A pneumatic valve includes a housing, a first port, a second port, and a third port, each in communication with an interior of the housing, a coil assembly coupled to the housing, a plunger axially movable within the housing between a first position and a second position in response to electrical current being driven through the coil assembly, and a permanent magnet configured to retain the plunger in at least one of the first position or the second position.
Manual valve device
A manual valve device including: a plurality of air bags provided inside a vehicle seat; a valve main body including a plurality of flow passages communicating with the plurality of air bags, respectively; a plurality of valve bodies movable inside the valve main body so as to open and close the plurality of flow passages, respectively; a plurality of valve shafts coupled to the plurality of valve bodies, respectively, and configured to be manually operated to move the plurality of valve bodies in a stroke; and an operation lever configured to press any one of the plurality of valve shafts or any combination of the plurality of valve shafts in an axial direction, in which the operation lever includes an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an air flow rate per unit time flowing in the plurality of flow passages by changing a stroke amount in the axial direction.
Pump and valve combination for bladder adjustment
A pump and valve combination for bladder adjustment is revealed and including a fluid supply member, a valve member and a bypass line. The fluid supply member includes a head end and a tail end. A bottom cover is disposed on the tail end and the fluid supply member provides fluid to the bottom cover through the tail end. The valve member is arranged at the head end and communicating with bladders. The valve member includes a valve cap fixed on the head end, a solenoid operated directional control valve, and an air supply tube. Two ends of the bypass line are connected to the bottom cover and an air input end of the air supply tube, respectively. An input portion and an output portion of the solenoid operated directional control valve are connected to an air output end of the air supply tube and the bladder respectively.
ERGONOMIC SEATING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A seat cover is configured to be disposable on a seat to provide selectively adjustable support to a user seated on the seat. The seat cover comprises a cover layer configured to be extendable over at least a portion of the seat. A pump is connected to the cover layer and is configured to supply fluid under pressure. A first bladder compartment is connected to the pump to receive fluid under pressure therefrom. A second bladder compartment is also connected to the pump to receive fluid under pressure therefrom. A manifold is fluidly connected to the pump, the first bladder compartment, and the second bladder compartment. The manifold is configured to selectively direct fluid from the pump to the first and second bladder compartments to achieve a first prescribed pressure in the first bladder compartment and a second prescribed pressure in the second bladder compartment.
