Compact mechanical lumbar vehicle seating
A mechanical lumbar system for vehicle seating. The lumbar system may be compact in size so as to require a smaller space within vehicle seating. The lumbar system may be adjustable in 4-ways. The lumbar system may be adjustable in an in and out fashion so as to decrease and increase, respectively, the amount of lumbar support. The lumbar system may be adjustable vertically so as to allow the vertical position of the lumbar support to be moved to accommodate the occupant. The lumbar system may utilize a U-shaped lower bridge member that allows the motors to be positioned vertically higher in the seat back while also allowing the lumbar support to be positioned below the motors. The legs of the lower bridge may extend below the lower frame cross member in the vehicle seat.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes seat back frame; and pressure-receiving member supported by the seat back frame. The pressure-receiving member includes pressure-receiving plate configured to receive load from back of an occupant. The seat back frame includes support hole disposed at an upper part of the seat back frame and extending through in upper-lower direction, and engagement portion disposed at a lower part of the seat back frame. The pressure-receiving member includes pressure-receiving member body including the pressure-receiving plate, upper restriction portion disposed at an upper part of the pressure-receiving member body and inserted through the support hole to restrict front-rear and lateral positions of upper portion of the pressure-receiving member body, and lower restriction portion disposed at a lower part of the pressure-receiving member body and engaged with the engagement portion to restrict upper-lower and lateral positions of a lower portion of the pressure-receiving member body.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat of the present invention includes a seatback frame, a backrest section that supports a back of an occupant, a swivel-coupling section that couples the backrest section and that is capable of swiveling with respect to the seatback frame in a seat width direction, and an outer periphery support section that couples plural locations at an outer peripheral side of the backrest section to the seatback frame, that supports the backrest section with respect to the seatback frame, and that permits the backrest section to swivel.
VEHICLE SEAT
In a vehicle seat, a seat back frame includes a support hole disposed at an upper part thereof and a support portion disposed at a lower part thereof, the support hole extending through the seat back frame in such a direction as to connect an upper side and a lower side thereof. A pressure-receiving member comprises a pressure-receiving member main body, an upper restriction portion, and a lower hook portion. The upper restriction portion is inserted in the support hole, thereby restricting a position of an upper part of the pressure-receiving member in front-rear and lateral directions. The lower hook portion includes a first portion extending from the lower part of the pressure-receiving member main body and protruding rearward over an upper side of the support portion, and a second portion extending from a rear end of the first portion and lying along a rear side of the support.
Occupant protection device including lumbar support
An occupant protection device includes: a lumbar support section that is displaceable between an upper limit position and a lower limit position, and is displaceable between an advanced position pressing against the lumbar region and a retreated position further to a seatback rear side than the advanced position; a displacement mechanism that displaces a frontmost location of the lumbar support section; a rear collision prediction section that predicts a rear-end collision to a vehicle; and an actuation controller that, in cases in which a vehicle rear-end collision has been predicted by the rear collision prediction section in a state in which the frontmost location of the lumbar support section is not at the lower limit position, controls the displacement mechanism, and sets the frontmost location at the lower limit position and at the advanced position.
Lordosis Support
A lordosis support for a seat back rest, includes a support plate, tension members for holding the support plate between two frame legs of the seat back rest, the support plate having on each side at least one point of attack for a respective tension member, and an adjusting device for adjusting a tension force of the tension members by changing the distance between the two points of attack, wherein the distance between the two points of attack is adjustable and the adjusting device is configured to change this distance, wherein the support plate is a one-piece support plate, and the two points of attack are linearly moveably arranged at the one-piece support plate for translational movement.
SEATBACK AND VEHICLE SEAT
A seatback includes a pressure-receiving member and a drive mechanism. The pressure-receiving member includes a first pressure-receiving portion configured to support a lumbar region of an occupant, and a second pressure-receiving portion joined to an upper part of the first pressure-receiving portion and configured to support a back of the occupant in cooperation with the first pressure-receiving portion. The drive mechanism is configured to displace the pressure-receiving member between a support position and a non-support position, which is a position rearward of the support position. The pressure-receiving member is configured, when in the support position, to be bent at a joining portion where the first pressure-receiving portion and the second pressure-receiving portion are joined together to become convex toward a seat front side.
Seat with moveable support member
A seat having a seat surface and a backrest includes a support member, a support-member driving unit, a specific-region position estimator, and a controller. The support member is provided in the backrest. The support member is configured to support a predetermined region of a body of a sitter to be seated on the seat and is movable in a vertical direction. The support-member driving unit is configured to drive the support member in the vertical direction relative to the backrest. The specific-region position estimator is configured to estimate a position of a specific region of the sitter that is defined in advance. The controller is configured to control the support-member driving unit such that the support member supports the specific region in accordance with the position of the specific region estimated by the specific-region position estimator.
SEAT BACKREST
A seat backrest includes right and left side frame segments, a pressure receiving member disposed between the side frame segments movably in a front-back direction, and a cushion pad covering the front of the side frame segments and pressure receiving member.
