Armrest for vehicle seat

An armrest for a vehicle seat can inhibit liquid droplets formed due to condensation from entering inside of the armrest when cup holders are tilted. The armrest comprises a cup holder portion, a wall-like first blocking portion, and a wall-like second blocking portion. The first blocking portion is provided toward a pivot center line relative to the cup holder portion, extends parallel to the pivot center line, and projects upwardly when the armrest is in the stored position. The second blocking portion extends in a vicinity of a root of the first blocking portion parallel to extending directions of the first blocking portion to be interposed between the cup holder portion and the pivot center line. The second blocking portion comprises at least one first through hole that penetrates the second blocking portion for communication from the cup holder portion toward the pivot center line.

System with a pivotable armrest and a locking aid

A system with a pivotable armrest (1) and a locking aid (18), wherein the armrest (1) is coupled to a holding device (10) so as to be pivotable about a primary axis (11) and is reversibly transferable between a use position and a stowage position via a transition position. The armrest (1) is connected to a connecting element (15) for rotation therewith. The locking aid (18) is arranged on the connecting element (15). The locking aid (18) is in frictional contact with the holding device (10) at a contact point or along a contact surface. The locking aid (18) is configured in such a manner that the frictional contact between holding device (10) and locking aid (18) is greater in a transition position than in the use position and/or in the stowage position.

LOCK FOR PIVOTING MEMBER IN VEHICLE WITH PUSH BUTTON RELEASE

A lock for a pivoting member in a vehicle comprising: a button having a depressed position and an undepressed position; a cam abutting the button having a rotated position and an un-rotated position; and a rod operably connected to the cam having an extended position and a retracted position; wherein, when the button is in the depressed position, the cam is in the rotated position, and the rod is in the retracted position. The pivoting member can be an armrest or a seatback, among other things. The rod includes a first grooved section. The cam includes a first finger adjacent to the first grooved section. As the cam transitions from the un-rotated position to the rotated position, the first finger of the cam interacts with the first grooved section of the rod to cause the rod to transition from the extended position to the retracted position.

System comprising a pivotable armrest and a pendulum element

A system includes a pivotable armrest (1) and a pendulum element (18). The armrest (1) is pivotably hinged on a holding device (10) around a primary axis (11). The armrest (1) is connected rotatably fixed to a connection element (15). The holding device (10) includes the pendulum element (18). The pendulum element (18) is pivotable around a secondary axis (12). The connection element (15) and the pendulum element (18) are configured such that the pendulum element (18) is pivoted into a first position when a force is exerted on the system. The pendulum element (18) pivoted in the first position interlockingly interacts with the connection element (15) in such a way that a pivoting of the connection element along a second direction of rotation (32) is countered. The first direction of rotation (31) runs counter to the second direction of rotation (32).

Seat Back With Pivotable Armrest and Armrest Restrictor

A seat assembly includes a seat back that is mounted on a base for relative movement between a first seat position and a second seat position. An armrest is mounted on the seat back for relative movement between a stowed position and a use position. An armrest restrictor prevents movement of the armrest relative to the seat back when the seat back is moved from the first seat position toward the second seat position and allows movement of the armrest relative to the seat back when the seat back is in the first seat position.

Pivotable Seat Back With Coaxial Pivotable Armrest

A seat assembly includes a back portion that is mounted for rotational movement about a seat back axis between a first seat position and a second seat position. The seat assembly also includes an armrest mounted for rotational movement about an armrest axis relative to the back portion between a stowed position and a use position. The seat back axis is coaxial with the armrest axis.

VEHICLE SEAT

A vehicle seat wherein debris can be inhibited from entering support brackets to which an armrest is coupled is provided. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a vehicle seat including a back frame and an armrest. The armrest includes side frames and a stopper pin. The back frame includes support brackets to which the side frames are pivotably coupled. The support brackets include guide slots that guide the stopper pin. On imaginary surfaces perpendicular to the seat width direction, loci of the guide slots formed on the side frames when the armrest pivots, the side frames and a portion of the stopper pin inserted into the guide slots are projected, and a diameter of a largest perfect circle that can be fitted into areas of the loci that do not overlap with the side frames and the stopper pin is smaller than widths of the guide slots.

Anti-rattle bumper for vehicle armrest assembly

A bumper for a vehicle armrest assembly includes a base that extends from a first end to a second end. The base includes a front surface. The bumper includes a stop that extends from the front surface of the base. The bumper also includes a cushion that extends from the front surface of the base. The cushion extends a greater distance from the base than the stop.

Automobile seat

An automobile seat includes a right seat, a center seat, and a left seat. The center seat includes a center seat cushion and a center seat back having one end rotatably supported for reclining to the side of the center seat cushion and raising therefrom. A belt is attached to the center seat back, while being grasped by a hand of a passenger for reclining to the side of the center seat cushion to be brought into abutment on the skin of the seat cushion. The thus configured automobile seat reduces fricative sound generated by collision and friction between the center seat back and the center seat cushion owing to movement up and down of the automobile in the reclined state, resulting in alleviated discomfort given to the passenger.

Vehicle seat

A pair of brackets (25, 30) are provided on either side of a seat back frame (10), each bracket defining a support hole (27, 31) for rotatably supporting a support shaft (41) of an arm rest, and a guide slot (28, 32) for guiding a corresponding guide pin (42B, 42C) of the arm rest along an arcuate path centered around the corresponding support hole. The two guide slots are offset from each other, and the guide pins are offset from each other in a corresponding manner in side view so that the two brackets may be offset from each other. Thereby, the layout of the brackets for rotatably supporting the arm rest can be selected in an advantageous manner.
