A console apparatus for an automobile includes: a console main body (11), disposed between a left seat and a right seat of the automobile; arm rests (15a, 15b), supported at the console main body (11) in a manner of being capable of sliding in the front-rear direction of the automobile; a locking unit, locking the forward slide of the arm rests (15a, 15b) when the arm rests (15a, 15b) are located at a moving rear end position (P2); an unlocking unit, unlocking the arm rests (15a, 15b) locked by the locking unit at the moving rear end position (P2) according to an unlocking operation; and a force applying unit, applying a forward force to the arm rests (15a, 15b) when the arm rests (15a, 15b) are located at the moving rear end position (P2).

Provided is an apparatus for adjusting a position of an armrest having a control panel for a vehicle, the apparatus in which an armrest assembly having a control panel is mounted on a side member of a seat cushion in a manner that is enabled to ascend and descend and in which the control panel is mounted on an armrest assembly in such a manner that a position in the backward-forward direction and a slope of the control panel are adjustable. An armrest includes an upper support section having one or more ventilation and drainage apertures that couple an upper surface of the upper support section to a lower portion of the armrest to facilitate airflow and drainage between the upper surface of the upper support section and the lower portion of the armrest. A personal automotive vehicle includes a door with a door panel that partly defines a reconfigurable passenger cabin. The door panel presents an abrasion-resistant portion to the interior of the passenger cabin at an upper section of the door panel below the window. A seat is mounted in the passenger cabin and can be rotated inwardly to increase the available range of movement of the seat occupant. The abrasion-resistant portion of the door panel is located to prevent scuff-related damage to the door panel when the seat occupant crosses his legs. The abrasion-resistant portion of the door panel can be selectively covered and uncovered by a moveable portion of the door panel, which may include an armrest.
