Center console provided with a fixed rail, extending in a longitudinal direction, a translatable member, a gearbox assembly and first and second cables. The translatable member may be coupled to the fixed rail and configured to move between a first position and a second position. The gearbox assembly may include a cable drum configured to rotate in a first rotational direction and a second rotational direction. The first and second cables may each be coupled to the translatable member and a cable drum. As the cable drum rotates in the first rotational direction, the first cable may translate the translatable member towards the first position. As the cable drum rotates in the second rotational direction, the second cable may translate the translatable member towards the second position.
Method for sealing a seam, a composite part and use of same
A method for sealing seams of a surface layer containing the seams, the sealing being performed on the side of the surface layer to which a foam layer or adhesive layer is connected in a planar manner. The method further relates to a composite part and the use of same. The method preferably includes a non-contact, planar application of a sealing material onto the seam region along the course of the seam. With the help of the method it is possible to prevent the penetration of the foam or adhesive material in a subsequent processing step and at the same time to eliminate the disadvantages of the existing methods.

The carrier/substrate and cover layer may be formed by co-extrusion and/or be integrally formed. The cover layer may be bonded to the substrate. The carrier may be formed by extruding a polymer material. The carrier may comprise a first polymer material; the cover may comprise a second polymer material. The component may comprise at least one of a vehicle trim component, console, storage compartment, arm rest, etc.

A vehicle interior component is disclosed. The component may comprise a base and a support. The component may comprise an actuator to operate a mechanism to move the support between raised and lowered positions. The mechanism may comprise a bladder. The support and the base may provide a cavity when the support is lowered. The support may protrude from the base when the support is raised. The support may be configured for a tilted state. The bladder may expand and/or contract to move the support. The bladder may comprise a first and second air bladder. An outer surface of the support and an outer surface of the base may comprise a substantially continuous surface when the support is in the raised or lowered position. The component may comprise at least one of a console; a floor console; a tunnel console; an armrest; an instrument panel; a door; a door panel.

The component may comprise a base providing a compartment with an opening, a door moveable between open and closed positions and an interface between the base and the door to facilitate movement of the door. The interface may comprise a set of projections on the door to engage a set of guides on the base. The set of projections may comprise a set of extrusions. The door may comprise a substrate and a cover layer; the substrate may be formed by extrusion. The component may comprise at least one of a vehicle trim component, a console, a center console, a floor console, a storage compartment, an arm rest. A method of making a component is also disclosed. The component may comprise a base and a door comprising a cover and a carrier. The carrier may be formed by extruding a polymer material.

A vehicle interior component is disclosed. The component may comprise a base comprising a surface and a support comprising a surface and configured to move between raised and lowered positions. The surfaces of the support and base may comprise a substantially continuous surface when the support is in the raised position. The support may descend into the base to provide a cavity. The component may comprise a light source to illuminate a border around the support and walls of the cavity. The component may comprise a mechanism to move the support. The support may comprise a switch to send a signal to the mechanism to move the support. The mechanism may comprise an adaptive volume mechanism. The component may comprise a wireless charger configured to send a signal to a controller to move the support. The component may comprise at least one of a console; armrest; instrument panel; door.
VEHICLE CONSOLE ASSEMBLY
A console assembly includes a body that has a front portion and a rear portion. The body defines a support extension extending from a rear portion. The support extension includes a guide and a resilient member that defines a channel. A lid is operably coupled to the body. A connector outwardly extends from the lid and is coupled to the support extension. An engagement member is positioned within the channel and is coupled to the connector and mutually engageable with the resilient member.
VEHICLE CONSOLE ASSEMBLY
A vehicle console assembly includes a body that defines a cutout. The cut out includes a contact surface. A lid is operably coupled to the body and includes a connector that defines an engagement member. The lid is operable between a raised position, a lowered position, and an intermediate engaging position therebetween defined by a predefined opening angle. The engagement member is space-apart from the context surface when the lid is in the lowered position and engages the contact surface when the lid is in the intermediate engaging position. A biasing member is disposed proximate the connector. A hinge pin extends through the cutout, the biasing member, and the engagement member.
VEHICLE CONSOLE ASSEMBLY WITH HINGE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A vehicle console assembly with a hinge assembly includes a console body, an armrest lid, and a pivotable hinge assembly. The console body includes first and second spring arm engagement portions and a pair of slots. The armrest lid includes an armrest lid engagement portion. The pivotable hinge assembly includes a double torsion spring with a center linkage bar that extends outward between a pair of helical coil portions and between first and second hook locking features. The pivotable hinge assembly includes a hinge pin that extends through the pair of helical torsion coil portions of the double torsion spring to connect the pivotable hinge assembly to the console body.

An autonomous vehicle may include a plurality of seats rotatably provided on a vehicle floor of the vehicle; a console device rail provided between the plurality of seats and extending in a longitudinal direction thereof; and a console device mounted on the console device rail and configured for sliding between the plurality of seats along the console device rail, the console device mounted on the console device rail via a rotation shaft to be rotatable about the rotation shaft relative to the console device rail, wherein when the console device is slid along and rotated relative to the console device rail during rotation of the seat, the interference by the seats and the console device is prevented.
