SEAT ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING AN ARMREST WITH AN ARMREST LID AND A HINGE ARRANGEMENT
Seat assemblies are provided. In one example, a seat assembly includes a seat base portion and a seat backrest portion. An armrest is disposed adjacent to the seat base portion and forward of the backrest portion. The armrest includes a fixed armrest portion that is coupled to the seat frame. An armrest lid is configured to move relative to the fixed armrest portion between a closed position overlying an upper section of the fixed armrest portion and an open position allowing access to the upper section of the fixed armrest portion. A hinge arrangement is pivotally couples the armrest lid to the fixed armrest portion. The hinge arrangement includes a damper and a damper gear that meshes with the damper to dampen movement of the armrest lid between the closed and open positions.
Armrest apparatuses including translating docking station arrangements for motor vehicles
Armrest apparatuses for motor vehicles are provided. In one example, an armrest apparatus comprises an armrest main base. A translating docking station arrangement for holding a nomadic device is operatively coupled to the armrest main base to move relative to the armrest main base between a retracted position and a deployed position. The translating docking station arrangement in the retracted position substantially covers the armrest main base. The translating docking station arrangement in the deployed position is shifted laterally relative to the retracted position.
Spring force adjustment for a console
A biasing assembly for rotating a lid of a console includes a biasing mechanism operably coupled to the lid at a first end and an adjustable control plate operatively coupled to a second end of the biasing mechanism. Movement of the adjustable control plate with respect to the second end of the biasing mechanism adjusts a biasing force applied to the lid by the biasing mechanism.
Vehicle seat with a reconfigurable side armrest
A vehicle seat includes a seatback and a side armrest. The side armrest includes an elongate frame anchored to the seatback and an elongate cover supported on the frame. The frame includes a base segment, by which the frame is anchored to the seatback, and a pivoting distal segment. With the frame's base segment extending away from the seatback, the side armrest is reconfigurable between an armrest configuration and an auxiliary configuration. In the armrest configuration, the frame's distal segment is inline with its base segment, the cover covers the frame, and the cover is supported on the frame for sliding movement along the frame that culminates in lodgment onto its distal segment. In the auxiliary configuration, the cover is lodged onto the frame's distal segment, and the frame's distal segment is pivoted towards the seatback to position the cover to extend in front of the seatback.
Mobile-terminal-charging device and vehicle in which same is mounted
This mobile terminal charging device has a support plate in which the front surface-side part is where a mobile terminal is installed, a charging coil disposed facing the support plate on the rear surface-side of the support plate, a plurality of detection coils concentrically disposed in the charging coil on a surface opposite the support plate, and a control unit connected to the detecting coils. When a charging operation is carried out, the control unit compares the difference between a voltage value detected using a first detecting coil among the plurality of detecting coils, and a voltage value detected using two detecting coils from a group comprising the first detecting coil and at least one detecting coil disposed outward of the first detecting coil. In addition, the control unit executes a safety operation in accordance with the results of the comparison.
VEHICLE INTERIOR LAYOUT
A vehicle interior layout includes a console having a support structure configured to be mounted on the floor of the vehicle and topped by an upper part, the upper part being rotatable around a substantially vertical pivot axis (A).
Vehicle armrest assembly
A vehicle armrest assembly is disclosed. A component for a vehicle interior is also disclosed. The component may comprise a base comprising (1) a first divider configured to form a main compartment and a first side compartment and (2) a second divider configured to form the main compartment and a second side compartment; a cover configured to enclose the main compartment; a first door configured to enclose the first side compartment; and a second door configured to enclose the second side compartment. The cover may be configured to extend between the first divider and the second divider and move along the first divider and the second divider to uncover the main compartment.
VEHICLE CONSOLE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE ARMREST
A vehicle console includes a console body defining a storage compartment accessible through an upper opening and an adjustable armrest held displaceably on a basic body mounted pivotably on the console body and between first and pivoting positions. A guide in the form of a one-sided guide rail provided in the upper part of the console body extending in a longitudinal direction of the opening. A locking element guided on one side of the rail is displaceable together with the armrest along the basic body, protrudes out of the armrest, and is retractable into the armrest by an actuating mechanism. The guide is arranged on an inner side of the storage compartment in the console body, and, in the first pivoting position, the at least one locking element, in its position protruding from the armrest, is guided in a sliding manner on the inner side of the storage compartment.
A SINGLE-PIECE CONSOLE MOUNTING ARMREST BRACKET
A single-piece mounting console armrest is disclosed that is efficient with respect to reliability, strength, complexity as well as cost and time. The invention is also configured to use a gas-assisted moulding process in a better and enhanced manner in order to prepare/manufacture the single piece console mounting armrest, comprising of hinge/s [104] and base [106].
Vehicle armrest structure with organic fibers
A vehicle armrest includes an armrest structure with a first shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The armrest structure also includes a second shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The first shell has a first contact portion that extends toward the second shell. The second shell has a second contact portion that extends toward the first shell. The first contact portion of the first shell is connected to the second contact portion of the second shell.
