A cover assembly has a support defining a pivot axis, a cover pivotal relative to the support about the pivot axis between an open position and a closed position, and a torque spring having first and second ends, a biasing coil part from which the first end extends, and a gripping coil part extending from the biasing coil part and from which the second end extends. The first end is seated in the cover, and the gripping coil part, except when is installed or adjusted, frictionally tightly and elastically engages the support and nonrotatably secures the second end to the support against rotation relative to the pivot axis. The gripping coil part is elastically deformable during installation or adjustment to disengage from the support and allow angular or axial movement of the gripping coil part and repositioning on the support.

The hinge device has a case that is inserted and held between the inside wall sections, pressing members that are disposed inside the case and are capable of rotating, a spring disposed between the pressing members, and pin members that are inserted through the pin supporting holes and the pin insertion holes and engage with the pressing members. The pin members are inserted through the pin supporting holes and the pin insertion holes from the outside of the outside wall sections.

A double opening storage device includes: a box body; a lid member; an open/close mechanism for opening/closing the lid member around a first or second rotation shaft; and an actuation device provided at the lid member and receiving power from the box body side via a wiring member. The open/close mechanism has a hinge member having one end supported swingably around the first rotation shaft by the lid member and another end supported swingably around the second rotation shaft by the box body. In opening/closing the lid member around the first rotation shaft, the hinge member stays at the box body without following the lid member, and in opening/closing the lid member around the second rotation shaft, the hinge member swings from the box body, following the lid member. The wiring member has a hinge wiring portion extending and wired along the hinge member between the one and other ends.

UNDER SEAT CAPTURE DEVICE

Embodiments of an under seat capture device are described. Some embodiments include a first chute for aligning below a gap between a center console and a vehicle seat, a first platform component that is coupled to the first chute for receiving an object, and an actuator that is coupled to the first platform component that causes a change in position of the first platform component to guide the object received by the first platform component to a desired location.

The armrest assembly for a vehicle interior comprises a base comprising an opening, an armrest configured to move to (a) a closed position to cover the opening of the base, (2) a raised position, and (3) an open position, a mechanism configured to move the armrest from the closed position to the raised position. The mechanism may be configured to prevent movement of the armrest from the open position to the raised position.

VEHICLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY

A vehicle armrest assembly is disclosed. A component for a vehicle interior is also disclosed. The component may comprise a base comprising (1) a first divider configured to form a main compartment and a first side compartment and (2) a second divider configured to form the main compartment and a second side compartment; a cover configured to enclose the main compartment; a first door configured to enclose the first side compartment; and a second door configured to enclose the second side compartment. The cover may be configured to extend between the first divider and the second divider and move along the first divider and the second divider to uncover the main compartment.

VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT

An adjustable vehicle armrest and tambour door is disclosed. A vehicle armrest is designed to allow for sliding movement between a retracted position and an extended position to adjust armrest length as desired by the vehicle occupant. A tambour door is disposed over at least part of the armrest and may be moved forward and backward to allow access to storage within the armrest or a support structure. The armrest is supported by sliding structures (e.g. engaged rails, et.) and the tambour door is supported by tracks (fixed or stationary). The tambour door may be fully supported as it moves forward and backward regardless of the retracted position or extended position of the armrest.
