Head restraint system
The present invention describes a head restraint system for a vehicle. The head restrained system comprises a head restraint cushion connected to headrest rods. The swivel mechanism comprises swivel rods, dampers and springs. The angular movement of the head restraint cushion is controlled by the damper movement on application of load on the head restrained cushion, where the damper movement is based on the amplitude and duration of load being applied on head restrained cushion. Another embodiment of the present invention describes a head restraint system comprising a movable assembly and a stationary assembly. The movable assembly comprises slotted guide plate, flat plate and slotted guide column. The stationary assembly comprises guide rod, and linear guide way. The movable assembly and stationary assembly are connected using a linear damping unit, where the linear damping unit is placed inside the slotted guide column.
Headrest support structure
A headrest support structure includes: a support member configured to support a protruding member projecting from a headrest; a bracket provided in a seatback and having an accommodation chamber in which the support member is accommodated in a tiltable manner in a front-rear direction perpendicular to a width direction of the headrest; a spring provided in the accommodation chamber and deforming in a bending manner due to tilting of the support member relative to the bracket in the front-rear direction; and a projection portion projecting, in the front-rear direction, from one of an outer surface of the support member and an inner surface of the bracket which are opposed to each other. The projection portion is provided at a position different from the spring in a regulation direction perpendicular to both the front-rear direction and the width direction of the headrest.

Dual configuration headrest system
A dual configuration headrest system includes a seat having a top side and a back edge. A backrest is attached to the seat and extends upwardly from the top side. A housing is attached the backrest and is positioned over an upper edge of the backrest. The housing has a top wall, a bottom wall, first lateral wall and a second lateral wall. A front side of the housing is open. A head support is mounted within the housing and has a first side and a second side positioned opposite of each other. The head support further has a top side, a bottom side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side. The head support is rotationally mounted within the housing such that the first side or the second side is positioned in an opening in the front side when the head support is rotated relative to the housing.

Reconfigurable seating assembly
A vehicle seating assembly includes a lower leg support, a seat, and a seatback. A seat rotational member rotatably couples the lower leg support to the seat. A seatback rotational member rotatably couples the seat to the seatback.

VEHICLE HEADREST
A vehicle headrest including: a main portion including a central part of a front surface of the headrest; a side portion including a side part of the front surface of the headrest, the side portion including a lower side portion and an upper side portion which are divided from each other in a height direction; a first hinge shaft coupling the side portion to the main portion in a state where the side portion is capable of protruding forward to a side support position by being rotated around an axis which extends in the height direction and is inclined downward and inward in a width direction; and a second hinge shaft coupling the lower side portion to the upper side portion in a state where the lower side portion is capable of being raised forward around an axis extending in the width direction.

Multiple-position seat for driving operator
A driving seat comprises a base and a back rest forming a support structure. The back rest is articulated onto the base about an axis of inclination of the back rest to provide an adjustable back rest inclination angle. The base comprises a rear base panel of fixed inclination and a front base panel with an adjustable base inclination angle relative to the rear base panel. The back rest comprises a lower back rest panel and an upper back rest panel with an adjustable raising angle relative to the lower back rest panel. In operation, the back rest inclination angle, the base inclination angle and the raising angle are adjustable to adapt the configuration of the seat to a working configuration, a standby configuration, a rest configuration or a crash configuration.
