ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR MOTORIZED MULTI-WAY SEAT ADJUSTMENT
20200369188 · 2020-11-26 ·

An adjustment mechanism for a seat comprises at least one screw shaft (111, 112) and a motor for driving the at least one screw shaft (111, 112). Further, the adjustment mechanism comprises at least one nut element (121, 122) engaged with the at least one screw shaft (121, 122) in such a way that a rotation of the at least one screw shaft (111, 112) caused by the motor translates into a linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122). In a first range of the linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122) the linear motion translates into adjustment of the seat according to a first degree of freedom, and in a second range of the linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122) the linear motion translates into adjustment of the seat according to a second degree of freedom.

Headrest and vehicle seat

A headrest is provided including an upper pillow section that configures a front side of an upper portion of the headrest, and a lower pillow section that configures a front side of a lower portion of the headrest. A front-rear position of the lower pillow section with respect to the upper pillow section is adjustable by swinging the lower pillow section about a shaft extending along a seat width direction at an upper edge side of the lower pillow section, and a protrusion amount by which respective seat width direction side portions of the lower pillow section protrude toward a seat front side being adjustable with respect to a seat width direction intermediate portion of the lower pillow section by swinging the two seat width direction side portions about a shaft extending in a seat vertical direction.

Headrest

The invention relates to a headrest, in particular for a vehicle seat, with a head contact part (11), with a support (12) for mounting the headrest (10) on a fixed structure, with at least one parallelogrammatic linkage (23) between the head contact part (11) and the support (12) that carries the head contact part (11) for movement relative to the support (12) between a first position and a second position, wherein the parallelogrammatic linkage (23) comprises at least two links (16, 17), and each link (16, 17) forms at least one pivot joint (G1A, G2A, G1C, G2C) with the support (12) and at least one pivot joint (G1B, G2B, G1D, G2D) with the head contact part (11), with a latch (19), with a first latch formation on the support (12) and a second latch formation on the head contact part (11), wherein the first latch formation and the second latch formation are in engagement in a locked position and are disengaged in a release position. The special feature is that the first latch formation is fixed on the support (12) or that an upper region of at least one link (116) is provided with the first latch formation, and that the second latch formation is fixed on the head contact part (11).

Multi-position adjustable headrest assembly

An adjustable headrest assembly attachable to a seat back and including a linear slide and rotating links that allow the headrest to translate forward, laterally and/or about axes parallel to the seat back to provide head support in various positions. The headrest may further include lateral parts independently adjustable in angle relative to a center part to provide enhanced lateral head support. The adjustable headrest assembly is attachable to a front side of a seat back or to other adjustment mechanisms such as a vertical adjustment mechanism for moving the headrest assembly up or down relative to a seat back.
