Headrest with an improved adjustment device
A headrest for a motor vehicle, including a base part for attachment to a backrest of a vehicle seat, a head part for contact with a head of a vehicle occupant, and an adjusting device between the base part and the head part for causing a substantially linear adjustment of the head part between a minimum and a maximum position. The adjusting device has an intermediate part and several pivot levers which pivot synchronously during adjustment and form a first articulated parallelogram between the head part and intermediate part and a second articulated parallelogram between the intermediate part and base part. The adjusting device includes a synchronizing lever for setting a relative orientation of the head part with respect to the base part during adjustment and wherein the headrest further has a latching device for fixing the headrest in a latching manner relative to the base part.
INTERIOR ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A vehicle interior system including a first seat assembly, disposed within a vehicle cabin, a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller is provided. The first and second sensors may each be disposed within the vehicle cabin. The first sensor may be configured to obtain first signals indicative of a positioning of an obstacle within a predetermined coordinate system. The second sensor may be configured to obtain second signals indicative of a positioning of the first seat assembly within the predetermined coordinate system. The controller may be configured to receive the signals from the first sensor and to map a portion of the obstacle based on the first signals and relative to a portion of the first seat assembly within the predetermined coordinate system.
Power head restraint flexible closeout cover
A vehicle seat includes a seatback having an upper portion. An adjustable headrest assembly is supported on the upper portion of the seatback. The adjustable headrest assembly has a headrest bun and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A trim component is disposed on the upper portion of the seatback having a relief portion. The relief portion is configured to receive a portion of the adjustment mechanism as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position. A flexible cover member is coupled to the trim component at the relief portion. The flexible cover member has a plate member operable between extend and retracted positions. The portion of the adjustment mechanism abuts an inner surface of the plate member to move the plate member towards the extended position as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position.

VEHICLE SEAT
There is provided a vehicle seat including: a seatback frame of a seatback that supports a back area of a vehicle occupant, the seatback frame including: a left and right pair of side frame portions spaced apart in a seat width direction; and an upper frame portion that joins between end portions, at a seat upper side, of the left and right pair of side frame portions in the seat width direction, a headrest that supports a head area of the vehicle occupant being supported at the upper frame portion; and a plastic deformation portion provided at the upper frame portion, the plastic deformation portion being plastically deformed and moving at least a portion of the upper frame portion toward a seat rear side together with the headrest, when a load toward the seat rear side that exceeds a predetermined value is applied to the plastic deformation portion.
Vehicle seat headrest with lever release
A vehicle headrest includes a carriage with support rods, an outer headrest connected to the carriage, a vertical locking arrangement with a locking element having a locked state and a released state relative to a support rod locking interface. Release levers, accessible from respective sides, move essentially along a vehicle direction of travel. Release carriers, moveably mounted to the carriage, moves essentially along a vehicle inboard/outboard direction and moves the locking element into the released state. Each release linkage activates the movement of the release carrier. The headrest also includes a forward and rearward locking arrangement for movement of the outer headrest relative to the carriage with support rods with at least some forward and/or rearward movement component. The movement arrangement, for movement of the outer headrest relative to the carriage, does not interrupt the release linkage connection for activating the movement of the release carrier.

Headrest device
A headrest device includes: a front-rear movement mechanism that moves a moving member in a seat front-rear direction with respect to a base member supported at an upper end portion of a seatback; a head support section that is coupled to the moving member so as to be capable of rotating about an axis running in a seat left-right direction, and that includes a front face configuring a support face to support a head of a seated occupant; and an angle changing mechanism that includes a link member spanning between the head support section and the base member, the link member being rotated with respect to the base member about an axis running in the seat left-right direction by the movement of the moving member so as to rotate the head support section with respect to the moving member about an axis running in the seat left-right direction.

Linkage extension system with damped motion
A linkage extension system and method for holding an extendable portion of a seat in a desired position while the extendable portion translates from a retracted to an extended position and any intermediate position. A coupled damper produces a holding force to counter gravity or other forces which cause the translation of the seat extension away from a desired position. The linkage extension system is self-powered and operates within the enclosed portion of the seat.
