TELESCOPING POWER HEAD RESTRAINT WITH COVER ASSEMBLY
A headrest assembly includes a linkage system that is at least partially disposed within a housing. The linkage system is operable between fore and aft positions relative to the housing. An adjustable cover assembly includes a first member coupled to the linkage system for movement therewith, and a second member pivotally coupled to the first member. The second member includes an engagement flange configured to contact a portion of the housing to pivot the second member rearwardly as the adjustable cover assembly is driven outward by the linkage system during the positioning of a headrest bun.
POWER HEAD RESTRAINT WITH FLEXIBLE CLOSEOUT COVER MEMBER
A vehicle seat includes a headrest assembly having an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a fore and aft position of a headrest bun. A cover member is disposed below the headrest assembly and includes a plate member engaged with the adjustment mechanism that is operable between deployed and retracted positions. The plate member is moved towards the deployed position as the headrest bun is driven outwardly by the adjustment mechanism. First and second extendable members include first ends coupled to the plate member and second ends coupled to side members of a frame assembly. The extendable connectors include outwardly extending body portions that contort to retract the plate member as the headrest bun is driven inwardly by the adjustment mechanism.
Head rest
A headrest is provided including a movable unit that can be shifted to multiple positions in the front-rear direction in a normal mode. A headrest includes first and second headrest pillars, a stationary unit disposed between the first and second headrest pillars, a movable unit movable apart from or close to the stationary unit toward a front or rear direction, an X linkage connecting the stationary unit to the movable unit and including an inside linkage segment and an outside linkage segment rotatably connected each other at a central connecting intersection, and a front-rear locking mechanism including a lock receiver and a locking component engageable with the lock receiver, to lock or unlock the movable unit movable relative to the stationary unit toward the front or rear direction.
Active head restraint
An active head restraint for a seating assembly of a motor vehicle comprises a structural support for a seatback of the seating assembly, a movable head restraint pad having a stowed position and a deployed position, and a linkage deployment mechanism. The linkage deployment mechanism comprises an upper and lower bar pivotally attached at a forward end to a rear surface of the movable head restraint pad and pivotally attached at a rearward end to an outer tube fixed to an upper portion of the structural support. An inner tube reciprocates within the outer tube. A trigger mechanism is operatively connected with a lower end of the inner tube and urges the inner linkage and an actuating link to a raised deployed position in response to a rear impact event. The actuating link applies an upward force to the lower bar to deploy the movable head restraint pad.
ADJUSTABLE HEADREST FOR MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
An adjustable headrest for motor vehicle seat. The headrest includes a support structure fixed to a backrest and a body having a front shell and a rear shell. The front shell has a front face intended for contact with the head of a user of the seat, the front face being movable relative to the support structure along a front-rear direction denoted X, over a total travel distance. The total travel distance is formed by a first travel portion provided by a mounting enabling translational movement of the body relative to the support structure while maintaining the position of the front shell relative to the rear shell substantially constant. The total travel distance is also formed by a second travel portion provided by a mounting enabling translational movement of the front shell alone relative to the rear shell.
VEHICLE SEAT, AND HEADREST SUPPORT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a suspension mat disposed within the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a linking member that elastically supports the suspension mat at the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a bushing that is disposed at an upper portion of the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a hollow stay inserted into the bushing, the stay protruding upward from the upper portion of the seat back frame. The vehicle seat includes a headrest fixed at an upper end of the stay. An upper end of the linking member is inserted into the stay from a lower end of the stay that is inserted into the bushing.

INTEGRATED COOLING SYSTEM FOR AN ADJUSTABLE HEADREST ASSEMBLY
A headrest assembly is removeably supported on a vehicle seat having a seatback with a seatback frame. The headrest assembly includes a headrest bun operably coupled to a housing via a powered linkage system for driving the headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A temperature control system is disposed in the housing and configured to provide treated air to a conditioning area disposed below the headrest bun at a vehicle occupant's neck. The temperature control system includes a blower operably coupled to duct assembly for blowing air treated by a thermoelectric module along the duct assembly. One or more vents are disposed at a downward angle on a front portion of the housing. The one or more vents are operably coupled to and in communication with the duct assembly.
Headrest fore-aft position adjuster
Disclosed is a headrest fore-aft position adjuster including a displaceable body which receives load of an occupant's head and which displaces in a fore-aft direction with respect to a headrest pillar and a lock mechanism which locks and unlocks the displaceable body at a plurality of positions along the fore-aft direction, and the lock mechanism includes an engaging part which displaces in the fore-aft direction integrally with the displaceable body, a plurality of engaged part which is provided along a trajectory of the engaging part and which the engaging part is engaged with in a locked state and the engaging part is configured to engage with the engaged parts from a lateral position.
Headrest
A headrest is provided that can have increased comfort and safety. The headrest can include: an affixed-side member provided to a headrest pillar; a mobile-side member that is joined to the affixed-side member with a mobile mechanism therebetween and that can move in the front-back direction with respect to the affixed-side member; and a front-back locking mechanism that has an engaged section and a lock member that engages the engaged section, and that locks and unlocks the movement of the mobile-side member in the front-back direction. Also, the mobile-side member has a front-side cover for supporting a head. Furthermore, the engaged section is attached to the back surface of the front-side cover.
