Support base for a child safety seat
A support base for a child safety seat includes a support leg operable to retract and expand at a bottom of the support base, an actuating part operably coupled to a first and a second latch, and an actuating button. The support leg includes multiple segments, and a first and a second sliding connection each of which respectively coupling two adjacent ones of the segments. The first latch is operable to lock and unlock the first sliding connection. The second latch is operable to lock and unlock the second sliding connection. The actuating part is operable to urge the first latch to move for unlocking the first sliding connection and to urge the second latch to move for unlocking the second sliding connection. The actuating button is assembled with the first segment adjacent to a distal end of thereof, and is operable to actuate the actuating part.
Shaft locking method using a gear rack and toothed locking lever
A shaft locking mechanism includes a rack disposed on a translating shaft and a toothed locking lever disposed on a corresponding translation post. The toothed locking lever engages the rack in a locked orientation to prevent the shaft translating within the translation post. The toothed locking lever is disengaged during translation and the shaft may be translated and locked in place with very granular adjustability. A control rod release mechanism may be biased to maintain the toothed locking lever in the locked orientation. A cam feature on the toothed locking lever engages the body of the control rod which defines a recessed portion that coincides with the cam while in an unlocked orientation.
Drive member
A drive member including a motor with a longitudinal axis and with at an actuating end a gear mechanism. A support member carries a displacement rod that is movably mounted on the support member. The motor is with its actuating end connected to the support member. The gear mechanism includes a hinge member allowing pivoting of the displacement rod about a pivot axis that is oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis. The gear mechanism engages with the displacement rod and the support member is hingingly attached to a fixation bracket in a hinge connection that is hingeable about an axis which is oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis. The drive member can be used for the adjustment of the backrest of a rear seat in a motor vehicle.
Method for assembling a linear actuator for a motor vehicle seat
The invention relates to a method for assembling a linear actuator for adjustment of a first seat component of a motor vehicle seat compared to a second seat component of the motor vehicle seat, having the method steps of introducing a first part of the linear actuator in a first alignment into a bearing point of the first seat component, wherein the bearing point is a part of the first seat component or connected to the first seat component, changing the first alignment of the linear actuator to a second alignment and fixing the linear actuator to the second seat component.

A gearing arrangement for a spindle drive arrangement may have a gearing housing and a gearing holder. The gearing holder may have at least two receiving openings, one for each fastening screw or one for each fastening bolt for fastening to another component, in particular to a vehicle seat. The at least two receiving openings may be oriented at right-angles and/or obliquely with respect to one another. A spindle drive arrangement having such a gearing arrangement, and also to a vehicle seat having such a spindle drive arrangement is also provided.

A vehicle seat includes a movable portion, a first spring, a second spring, and a preloading device. The first spring is capable of exerting an elastic force to displace the movable portion, which is displaced in a first direction, toward the neutral position. The second spring is capable of exerting an elastic force to displace the movable portion, which is displaced in a second direction, toward the neutral position. The preloading device is capable varying at least one of an elastic force applied by the first spring to the movable portion placed in the neutral position or an elastic force applied by the second spring to the movable portion placed in the neutral position.
Support Base For A Child Safety Seat
A support base for a child safety seat includes a support leg, a first and a second locking mechanism, and a linking assembly. The support leg includes three segments that are telescopically connected with one another via a first and a second sliding connection. The first locking mechanism includes a first latch for locking and unlocking the first sliding connection, and a first actuating part operable to cause the first latch to unlock the first sliding connection. The second locking mechanism includes a second latch for locking and unlocking the second sliding connection, and a second actuating part operable to cause the second latch to unlock the second sliding connection. The linking assembly operatively couples the first locking mechanism to the second locking mechanism so that the first and second sliding connections can be unlocked concurrently with one single operating step.

Provided is a structure of a leg-rest which is switchable at a front lower end of a seat between a receiving position where a support panel is folded on the seat and a deploying position where the support panel is drawn out to support the leg of a seated person. The structure of the leg-rest can include a fixing bracket which is fixed to the seat; a rotary arm of which one end is rotatably connected to the fixing bracket; a base slider which is slidably coupled to the rotary arm in a longitudinal direction; an extending slider which is slidably coupled to the base slider in a longitudinal direction and mounted with the support panel; and a rotary assist arm of which one end is separated from the rotary arm to be rotatably connected to the fixing bracket and the other end is rotatably connected to the base slider.

It is provided an adjusting device of a lumbar support or a side-bolster adjuster for changing the contour or position of a seat element of a vehicle seat supporting a body part of a seat user, with at least one driving device comprising a spindle drive and at least one adjustable support element for changing the contour or position of the seat element, wherein the spindle drive comprises a spindle extending along a spindle axis, which on a fastening part of the lumbar support or the side-bolster adjuster mounted in the vehicle seat is floatingly mounted at a spindle end via a spindle holder such that at this spindle end the spindle is displaceable along at least one spatial direction extending transversely to the spindle axis.

A method for automatic calibration of a device for actuating at least one element to be actuated in a structure, the actuation device comprising at least one actuator configured to actuate at least one corresponding element to be actuated. The method comprises the steps of: controlling the movement of each actuator to place each element in a predetermined reference position; and for each actuator: controlling the movement of the actuator in a first direction; if the value of a parameter associated with the actuator exceeds a first reference value, controlling the movement of the actuator in a second direction, opposite to the first direction; if the value of the parameter exceeds a second reference value, recording the position occupied by the actuator as the position of a first mechanical stop of the actuator.
