SEAT RECLINING APPARATUS
A seat reclining apparatus includes a stopper which is movable between a forward-tilt restriction position to stop the seatback at an intermediate stop position in an unlock range, which is set in front of a lockable range in which a reclining mechanism of the seat reclining apparatus allows the angle of the seatback to be adjusted, and a restriction release position to allow the seatback to tilt forward beyond the intermediate stop position, and is situated at the forward-tilt restriction position when the seatback tilts toward the intermediate stop position from the lockable range. The seat reclining apparatus further includes a holding mechanism which keeps holding the stopper in the restriction release position until the seatback returns to the lockable range from a state where the seatback tilts forward beyond the intermediate stop position following a movement of the stopper from the forward-tilt restriction position to the restriction release position.
ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF ACTUATING A LATCH
An actuator comprises a housing, a motor, a drive mechanism and a clutch coupled to the drive mechanism. The motor is mounted displaceably relative to the housing. A displacement of the motor relative to the housing is operative to actuate the clutch.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR FOLDABLE STRUCTURE
Disclosed is a locking device for a foldable structure, and the locking device includes: a foldable body, a support bracket to support a rotation shaft of the foldable body, a locking pin elastically supported in a direction from the foldable body toward the support bracket, a locking groove provided in the support bracket such that the locking pin is seated therein to inhibit a rotation of the foldable body with respect to the support bracket, and an unlocking tool provided in the foldable body to provide a linear displacement of the locking pin while overcoming an elastically-biased force of the locking pin such that the locking pin is separated from the locking groove.
Child safety seat and side impact protection mechanism thereof
The present disclosure discloses an apparatus comprising: a backrest; a side impact protection block movably fitted to the backrest between a folding position and an unfolding position; and a self-locking structure fitted to the side impact protection block or the backrest, the self-locking structure being configured to block the side impact protection block in the unfolding position from switching to the folding position. The self-locking structure comprises a self-locking member and a self-locking reset member, the self-locking member being fitted to the backrest or the side impact protection block, the self-locking reset member being configured to apply a force to the self-locking member to drive it into an extended position that blocks the side impact protection block in the unfolding position from switching to the folding position.
Backrest locking mechanism and child safety seat
A backrest locking mechanism adapted for a backrest and a base of a child safety seat is provided. The backrest is detachably connected to the base. The backrest locking mechanism includes a locking pin, a locking component and an operating component. The locking pin is disposed on the backrest. The locking component is disposed on the base. A locking hole structure is formed on the locking component. The locking pin is configured to detachably engage with the locking hole structure. The operating component is movably disposed on the backrest or the base. The operating component drives the locking pin and the locking hole structure to engage with or disengage from each other when the operating component is operated. Furthermore, a child safety seat having the aforementioned backrest locking mechanism is also provided.
LIGHTWEIGHT SEAT SUPPORT ELEMENT
A vehicle seat support element having a body made of plastic material, a metal reinforcement attached to the body, and four interface elements for interfacing of the seat support element with its environment. Three of the interface elements are secured to the metal reinforcement, the fourth interface element only being secured to the body.
Vehicle Access System
The embodiments described and claimed herein are improved vehicle access systems. In particular, one embodiment includes three compact, motorized mechanisms for pivoting a passenger seat toward a door opening, extending the passenger seat outside the door opening, lowering the passenger seat, and tilting the passenger seat to help the passenger stand. The first mechanism concurrently pivots the passenger seat and moves it sideways during the pivoting operation so that it is aligned with the door opening. The second mechanism extends the passenger seat outside the door opening. The third mechanism lowers the seat.
Automatically aligning latching arrangement
A seat assembly includes a striker pin that is mounted to either a vehicle floor or a seat bottom. A latch assembly is mounted to the other of the vehicle floor and the seat bottom, and is configured to engage the striker pin. A pivot bracket assembly includes a first bracket member that is attached to the seat bottom and pivotally attached to a second bracket member which is fixedly mounted to the vehicle floor. One or both of the first bracket of the pivot bracket assembly and the latch plate of the latch assembly is movable relative to the vehicle floor and the seat bottom to facilitate alignment of the opening in the latch plate with the striker pin.
Adjustable seat assembly
A seat adjustment mechanism for an adjustable seat assembly includes an arcuate tilt column; a lift column; a first tilt slider block detachably engaged to the lift column and slideably engaged to the tilt column for moving the lift column between a plurality of tilt positions; and a first lift slider block slideably engaged to the lift column for moving between a plurality of lift positions independent of the plurality of tilt positions. The slider blocks, the lift columns, the tilt columns and the cross brace may be made of dissimilar materials and/or are easily replaced with alternative components.
