PASSENGER TRANSPORT SEATS WITH LATERAL SEAT LIPS
Seat assemblies are provided which include a seat base structure, a seat cushion supported by the seat base structure and at least a lateral outboard seat lip positioned relative to the seat cushion so as to assist a passenger during seat entry and exit. The lateral outboard seat lip is preferably attached relative to the seat cushion for manual movements between an extended position wherein the outboard seat lip extends outwardly thereby increasing effective surface area of the seat cushion and a deflected position wherein the outboard seat lip extends upwardly or downwardly relative to the seat cushion so as to thereby decrease the effective surface area of the seat cushion.
Side extension device for seat of vehicle
A side extension device for a seat of a vehicle, may include a seat cushion frame for forming a framework, a cushion pad provided with a bolster formed on each of opposite sides thereof, and a seat cover for covering a surface of the cushion pad, wherein a plurality of slits is formed in the bolster of the cushion pad, and divided bolster parts are formed between the slits, wherein the divided bolster parts are successively inclined outward by contact pressure of side parts of hips of an occupant, so that the bolster spreads outward.
Vehicle seat including an adaptive lateral occupant support structure
A vehicle seat that includes a lateral occupant support structure that is movable based on a position of a backrest. The vehicle seat includes a lateral occupant support structure setting system that adapts a position of one or more lateral occupant support structures based on one or more of a position of the backrest and movement of the backrest.
Vehicle seating arrangement
A vehicle seating arrangement includes a first seat and a first seatback. A side-wing seat extends from the first seat. A surface of the side-wing seat is vertically displaced from a surface of the first seat.
VEHICLE SIDE PILLOW ASSEMBLY
A vehicle side pillow assembly includes: a connection bar, two ends of which being disposed with first and second side pillows having opposite pillow surfaces; and first and second installation parts for installing the vehicle side pillow assembly onto two insertion rods of a vehicle headrest. The first and second installation parts are arranged in mirror symmetry and movably connected to the connection bar. The connection bar is disposed with several spaced engagement slots along an axial direction thereof. The first and second installation parts are respectively disposed with first and second engagement portions matching the engagement slots. The first and second engagement portions are capable of being engaged with or separated from the engagement slots, so that the first and second installation parts are fixed at a position corresponding to the insertion rods. The vehicle side pillow assembly is convenient to use and has the characteristics of being convenient for disassembly, installation and storage.
Adjusting device of a lumbar support or of a side-bolster adjuster having a spindle drive for a seat element of a vehicle seat
It is provided an adjusting device of a lumbar support or a side-bolster adjuster for changing the contour or position of a seat element of a vehicle seat supporting a body part of a seat user, with at least one driving device comprising a spindle drive and at least one adjustable support element for changing the contour or position of the seat element, wherein the spindle drive comprises a spindle extending along a spindle axis, which on a fastening part of the lumbar support or the side-bolster adjuster mounted in the vehicle seat is floatingly mounted at a spindle end via a spindle holder such that at this spindle end the spindle is displaceable along at least one spatial direction extending transversely to the spindle axis.
Seat back for vehicle
The present disclosure provides a seat back including a bolster for a vehicle. The seat back may include a seat back frame including a side member formed on each of opposite sides thereof so that a left-and-right support of the seat back may be automatically adjusted. The seat back further includes a rotating plate having a structure integrally including an external plate extending into the bolster, and an internal plate extending inwardly into the seat back. A boundary portion between the external plate and the internal plate of the rotating plate may be rotatably mounted to the side member of the seat back frame.
VEHICLE SEAT WITH TILTING SEAT PORTION
A vehicle seat can be configured to provide support to a vehicle occupant in conditions when lateral acceleration is experienced. Shape memory material members can be operatively positioned with respect to a seat portion of the vehicle seat. The shape memory material members can be selectively activated by an activation input. When activated, the shape memory material members can engage a seat pan so as to cause the seat pan to tilt in a respective lateral direction. As a result, a seat cushion supported by the seat pan can also tilt in the respective lateral direction. The seat cushion can be tilted in a lateral direction that is opposite to the direction of the lateral acceleration. Thus, the effects of lateral acceleration felt by a seat occupant can be reduced. The shape memory material members can be selectively activated based on vehicle speed, steering angle, and/or lateral acceleration.
