VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including: a seat back including a top plate main part configured to support a body of a seated person from the rear side and a top plate side part configured to protrude more forward than the top plate main part to support the body of the seated person from the lateral side; a side adjuster configured to move the top plate side part between a protruding position in which the top plate side part protrudes more forward than the top plate main part and a retracted position in which the top plate side part is retracted from the protruding position; and a controller configured to, in a case where a side collision of a vehicle is detected, drive and control the side adjuster so that the top plate side part is in the protruding position.
ADJUSTABLE LIE-FLAT SEAT
Described is a passenger seat that includes a seat bottom with a rear edge, the seat bottom including a bottom seating surface and a seat bottom adjustment mechanism where the seat bottom adjustment mechanism forms at least a portion of the bottom seating surface. The passenger seat also includes a seat back extending from the rear edge of the seat bottom, the seat back including a back seating surface and a seat back adjustment mechanism where the seat back adjustment mechanism forms at least a portion of the back seating surface. The adjustment mechanisms may each be configured to move between a deployed configuration and a retracted configuration. The seat bottom adjustment mechanism may be substantially flush with the bottom seating surface in the retracted configuration, and the seat back adjustment mechanism may be substantially flush with the back seating surface in the retracted configuration.
Adjustable seat and method for controlling same
A seat having a backrest and a seat cushion includes rows of adjusting elements, respectively, which adjusting elements are arranged above one another, on both sides of the longitudinal center plane of the seat. By alternately applying the adjusting elements mutually arranged in a vertically staggered manner in the two halves of the seat, a rotational movement can be actively applied to a seat user's back and possibly pelvis, which rotational movement corresponds to the rotational movement of the back, and possibly of the pelvis, when walking.
SEAT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A seat includes a back part and a seat part having a seat cover, padding, and a support structure. The seat cover delimits a seat area, which is divided into a central bearing area and two side support areas. An air bladder is located in each of the side support areas. The air bladders can be inflated or deflated for changing the vertical position of the seat area on the side support areas. A bearing part is arranged between the support structure and the air bladder. A fastener constructed as a latching connection is configured to fix the bearing part on the support structure.
INFLATABLE AIR CUSHION SYSTEM AND SEAT ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides an inflatable air cushion system of a vehicle seat. The inflatable air cushion system includes an inflatable air cushion positioned within a side supporting portion of the seat and configured to expand away from a middle supporting portion of a cushion substantially in a widthwise direction, an inflator connecting to the inflatable air cushion, and a controller for controlling the inflator to inflate the inflatable air cushion in response to a passenger occupancy signal.
Passenger transport seats with lateral seat lips
Seat assemblies are provided which include a seat base structure, a seat cushion supported by the seat base structure and at least a lateral outboard seat lip positioned relative to the seat cushion so as to assist a passenger during seat entry and exit. The lateral outboard seat lip is preferably attached relative to the seat cushion for manual movements between an extended position wherein the outboard seat lip extends outwardly thereby increasing effective surface area of the seat cushion and a deflected position wherein the outboard seat lip extends upwardly or downwardly relative to the seat cushion so as to thereby decrease the effective surface area of the seat cushion.
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING SOFTNESS OF SEAT, DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING COMFORT OF SEAT, AND VEHICLE SEAT
Provide are a device for adjusting softness of a vehicle seat, a device for adjusting comfort of a seat, and a vehicle seat. The device for adjusting softness of a vehicle seat has at least one soft inflatable bag that can be integrated in the seat. The soft inflatable bag is connected with at least one air path. The soft inflatable bag is filled with a flexible filler. Gas is charged into or discharged from the soft inflatable bag through the air path to adjust the softness of the surface of the seat. The soft inflatable bag is provided therein with a height limiting structure configured to limit the partial expansion height of the soft inflatable bag when inflated.
ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM FOR SEATING ASSEMBLY MEMBER
A seating assembly having a seating assembly frame that includes a seat frame and a seatback frame. The seating assembly includes an extension member coupled to the seat frame and movable in response to an actuating force between an extended position relative to the seat frame and a compressed position relative to the seat frame and including an end fixedly coupled to the seat frame and an end coupled to an adjustment device disposed on the seat frame.
OVERSTRESS PROTECTION FOR SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY SEAT ACTUATOR
An actuator for a vehicle seat can be configured to prevent overstress of a shape memory alloy (SMA) wire. The actuator can include a first body member and a second body member pivotably connected to each other. The actuator can include an overstress post and an overstress contact plate operatively connected to the overstress post. Thus, movement of the overstress post causes movement of the overstress contact plate. The actuator can include an overstress contact pin. The actuator can include an SMA wire operatively connected to one of the body members and to the overstress post. When activated, the SMA wire can shrink, causing one of the body members to pivot relative to the other body member and causing the overstress contact plate to move toward the overstress contact pin. If the overstress contact plate contacts the overstress contact pin, the SMA wire can be deactivated.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a main part that forms a center portion of a front surface of a seatback; bolster parts that form side parts of the front surface of the seatback; and a reclining adjuster configured to adjust a backrest angle of the seatback, and to move a lower area of the main part toward a front side relative to the bolster parts as the main part is reclined.
