Disclosed is a lightweight seat (100) that includes a seat base (102), a seat bottom (103) attached to an upper portion of the seat base, a seat back (101) attached to a rear portion of the seat bottom, and a seat belt assembly (150) secured to the seat bottom. The seat belt assembly may include a strap (104) attached to an underside of the seat bottom and extending from a first end adjacent to first side of the seat bottom to a second end adjacent to a second side of the seat bottom and a seat belt disposed adjacent to an upper side of the seat bottom, wherein a first end of the seat belt is attached to the first end of the strap and a second end of the seat belt is attached to the second end of the strap.

An apparatus for an aircraft cabin may include a body and a personal electronic device (PED) holder. The body may include a sloped surface between a top surface and a recess surface with a plurality of recess protrusions configured to support a PED. The body may be couplable to a surface within the aircraft cabin via one or more couplers. The PED holder may include a paddle and at least one hinge coupler. The paddle may be located opposite the sloped surface within the recess. The paddle may be dimensioned to fit within the recess when the PED holder is in a closed position. The paddle may be configured to support the PED when the PED holder is in an open position. The PED holder may be configured to rotate about an axis through the at least one hinge coupler between at least the open position and the closed position.

VEHICLE PASSENGER SENSING AND REPORTING SYSTEM

An example embodiment of a system and methods for detecting and reporting whether passengers are seated and secured in their seats within a vehicle may include a passenger sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a presence of a passenger in a seat in a vehicle, a restraint sensor configured to provide an output indicative of a status of a passenger safety restraint associated with the seat, a transmitter configured to be in electronic communication with the passenger sensor and the restraint sensor and to wirelessly transmit data indicative of the presence of a passenger in the seat and the status of the restrain, and a reporting module configured to be disposed proximate a driver of the vehicle. The reporting module may be configured to receive the data from the transmitter, and output a respective status for each of a plurality of seats.

LOCK ASSEMBLY

A work surface is provided with a lock assembly. The lock assembly includes an actuator plate and a locking plate. The actuator plate includes a pin. The locking plate includes an angled slot that receives the pin of the actuator plate. Actuation of the actuator plate in a first direction causes the pin to move within the angled slot of the locking plate. The movement of the pin within the angled slot causes movement of the locking plate in a second direction, thereby actuating the locking plate between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration.
