In a vehicle seat that can switch the state of a seat main body which includes a seat back and a seat cushion between a seatable state in which the seat back is erected to a car body floor to allow a seated occupant on the seat cushion and a storage state in which the seat back tilts down to the car body floor and the seat cushion is disposed between the seat back and the car body floor, the vehicle seat is provided with a guide part that contacts the lower portion of the seat cushion and supports the seat cushion when the seat state is in the seatable state, that slidably contacts a part of the seat main body in the transition of the state to the storage state, and that thus guides the movement of the seat back and the seat cushion.

A system for increasing passenger safety within an airplane (10) includes a forward seat (16) having a back surface (17) that faces an occupant seat (14). A tray table holder (22) is secured to or formed integrally with the back of the forward seat (16). A tray table (20) is rotatably connected to the tray table holder via a hinge (40) and is rotatable relative to the tray table holder. The tray table defines a cavity (32) inside the tray table. An airbag (54) is within the cavity. An inlet device (42) is coupled to the airbag and is rotatable about the hinge (40) such that the inflator inlet can rotate as the tray table rotates relative to the tray table holder. An inflator (52) is connected to the inlet device and is configured to deliver gas to the airbag through the inflator inlet.

The present invention relates to an assembly, in particular for an aircraft, comprising a seat back, a main tablet mounted on the seat back via a tablet structure, said main tablet being movable between a stored position, in which the tablet is pressed against a rear face of the seat back, and a deployed position, said assembly further comprising an auxiliary tablet mounted on the tablet structure via at least one auxiliary arm, said auxiliary tablet being movable between a raised position and a deployed position, in which the auxiliary tablet is vertically superposed with respect to the main tablet.

A storage device for a vehicle has a guide unit and a hinge element which can be guided on the guide unit and is moveably guided along the guide unit in a drawer-type manner. The hinge element has a contact surface and two lateral walls at an angle to same. The lateral walls have a plurality of fold regions, such that a first hinge part and a second hinge part are formed between the fold lines in such a way that, in a use position, the storage device forms a stable support for objects and, in the folded state, same can be used for storing the objects.

A structural shroud for a passenger seat assembly includes a hollow body having a first end, a second end opposite from the first end, and a central cavity between the first end and the second end. In certain embodiments, the structural shroud may include a magnesium alloy and/or an aluminum alloy, and may be formed via casting, forging, and/or additive manufacturing, among others. In some embodiments, a base frame assembly for a passenger seat assembly includes a monolithic base frame having a first leg portion and a first tube portion integrally formed with the first leg portion.

A seating assembly for a passenger aircraft. The seat system may include at least one passenger seat and a seat back tray assembly mounted onto the back of the passenger seat and movable between a first storage position and a second deployed position. The tray assembly may include (i) a tray having a first and second attachment arm mounted onto the tray for installing the tray onto the back of a seat system; (ii) a sliding mechanism installed on the first and second attachment arms adapted for providing movement between a first forward position and a second aft position to a seated passenger parallel to the first and second attachment arms; and (iii) an alignment mechanism attached to the sliding mechanism for maintaining the tray in a horizontally aligned relationship during the movement. The seat system may further include a PED holder adapted to hold a personal electronic device.

An aircraft-passenger seat is provided, including a structural component on which a table top of the aircraft-passenger seat is mounted via an articulation arrangement such that the table top can be pivoted about a pivot axis of the articulation arrangement, from an upright position, in which the table top is up against the structural component, to a use position, in which the table top projects outwardly from the structural component, and back out of the use position into the upright position. The articulation arrangement includes a damping device that damps the pivoting movement of the table top between the upright position and the use position.

A table unit for a motor-vehicle seat comprises a base plate connected in an articulated manner to a backrest frame of the seat, in such a way as to be movable between an inoperative position, adjacent to a front surface of the seat backrest and an operative position, projecting horizontally in a cantilevered manner from the front surface of the backrest. A seat back table attached to a rear surface of a seat back of an in-vehicle seat includes a base plate fixed to the rear surface of the seat back, and a table plate that is opened and closed by swinging with respect to the base plate, and, in this seat back table, a gap to which a fingertip can be inserted is provided between at least a portion of a peripheral edge of the base plate and the seat back, and at least the portion of the peripheral edge of the base plate functions as a grip portion that is capable of being gripped by a user.
