CONTAINER RECEIVING APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR
Container receiving apparatus for a vehicle interior having a carrier structure mounted so as to be secured to a vehicle, and a container receiving frame displaceable in height relative to the carrier structure and bordering at least one container receiving member and guided for linear displacement by a linear guiding device in a vertical direction. The apparatus also includes a cover supported on the carrier structure for pivoting movement between a closed position to cover the container receiving frame and an open position to release the container receiving frame for a linear displacement in a vertical direction. For linear displacement of the container receiving frame in a vertical direction between a rest position and a functional position, a rotationally effective, mechanical forced control apparatus is provided.
CUP HOLDER ASSEMBLY
A cup holder assembly includes a body that defines a cup-receiving cavity and an aperture that extends through a side wall of the body, a first bracing feature and a second bracing feature, each of which is coupled to the body and positioned outside of the cup-receiving cavity, and a retention finger. The retention finger includes a first portion that extends into the cup-receiving cavity through the aperture, a first engagement feature coupled to the first portion and pivotably engaged with the first bracing feature, and a second engagement feature coupled to the first portion and engaged with the second bracing feature. The retention finger is operable to move via pivotal movement of the first engagement feature relative to the first bracing feature.
Device for holding a container
A device for holding a container is disclosed. The device includes a base configured to support the container, a retaining mechanism configured to retain the container relative to the base, and an actuator mechanism coupled to the retaining mechanism. The retaining mechanism includes a longitudinal axis and an iris moveable between an insertion position and a retaining position. A central opening formed by the iris in the insertion position has an insertion diameter greater than a retaining diameter of the central opening formed by the iris in the retaining position. The iris includes a plurality of arms arranged in a first level and a second level. User rotation of the actuator mechanism in a first direction causes the arms of the iris to move to the retaining position, and user rotation of the actuator mechanism in a second direction opposite the first direction causes the arms of the iris to move away from the retaining position towards the insertion position.
Apparatus for holding a cell phone, a cup and other items in a motor vehicle
An apparatus for holding various items such as a drink cup and a smart phone, includes a plunger and a holding device. The plunger includes a proximal end and a distal end. The holding device is carried on the distal end of the plunger. The holding device includes a first jaw and a second jaw opposed to the first jaw. A method of gripping an item in the apparatus is also disclosed.

A vehicle cup holder is provided and includes a base and a sidewall together defining an interior space for receiving a beverage container. A number of fingers extend through the sidewall for retaining the beverage container. A number of light pipes are each coupled to a corresponding finger for transmitting light into the interior space.

A storage device for a vehicle has a housing, a drawer, which in normal use can be moved relative to the housing in a vehicle longitudinal direction between a closed state and an open state, a movable wall, and a movement mechanism, which is designed to change the position of the movable wall from the closed state of the drawer, in which closed state the movable wall is in a retracted position, at least into a first extended position in the open state of the drawer. In the retracted position, the movable wall is arranged in a cavity of a wall of the drawer. In the first extended position, the movable wall is at least partially arranged in an interior of the drawer.
ITEM HOLDER HAVING A SELF-ADJUSTING AIR BLADDER SYSTEM
An item holder includes a receiving well with an upper opening. First and second air bladders are disposed in the receiving well. Upper portions of outer casings of the air bladders are substantially flush with the upper opening of the receiving well when the air bladders are in an inflated condition. Also, the abutment portions abut one another along an abutment seam when the air bladders are in an inflated condition. A sensor may be sued to detect the receiving of an item in the receiving well. Valves assemblies are opened as the sensors detect an item being received in the receiving well. The item compresses a filler material disposed within the air bladders as the item is received in the receiving well. When the item is removed from the receiving well, the filler material expands to inflate the air bladders to the at-rest position.
SHAFT-SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR ROTARY BODY
This shaft-support structure for a rotary body is provided with a bearing portion disposed to a base panel and a fulcrum shaft that is disposed to a cup holder and is supported by the bearing portion in a rotatable manner. The bearing portion has slits on the side apart from the base panel. A center cover is disposed at a position facing the slits. The cup holder is configured in such a way that, when a load exceeding a predetermined level is exerted in the direction away from the base panel, the fulcrum shaft moves in a direction in which the fulcrum shaft disengages from the bearing portion through the slits and, therewith, by pressing the center cover from the inside and causing the center cover to move in the direction separating from the bearing portion, the fulcrum shaft disengages from the bearing portion.

A beverage container holder that includes a first member including a floor, sidewall, and first opening, the floor connected and spaced apart from the first opening by the first member sidewall to define a receptacle to receive the beverage container therein; a second member, where a portion of the second member is inserted into the first opening of the first member to permit rotation of the second member about a center axis; a plurality of elastic bands, each elastic band of the plurality of elastic bands being connected to the first member at one end and the second member at the opposite end such that tension is established within each elastic band of the plurality of elastic bands; and the plurality of nylon bands collaborate to operatively form into a configuration which constricts an area centrally located in the receptacle of the first member.
