ROLL-OFF FRAME HAVING ADJUSTABLE HEAD AND TAIL PORTIONS ACTUATED BY SINGLE ACTUATION STROKE
A hoisting frame apparatus for loading and unloading containers onto and off of a roll-off vehicle includes adjustable head and tail portions that are cooperatively actuated by a single actuation stroke to move relative to a main portion of the hoisting frame apparatus. The hoisting frame apparatus includes a linkage connecting the tail portion to the head portion such that displacement of the head portion by a hoist actuator relative to the main portion causes displacement of the tail portion relative to the main portion. The total longitudinal displacement of the tail portion may be shorter than the total longitudinal displacement of the head portion, and the linkage may be configured to release the connection between the head and tail portions when the tail portion reaches a travel limit to allow independent further longitudinal displacement of the head portion.
Vehicle trailer system
A vehicle trailer system for loading, transporting and unloading a load includes a trailer front structure for attachment to a towing vehicle; a pivotable structure pivotally coupled to the trailer front structure and including a transversely-movable structure for a load to slide or roll thereupon. An actuator allows causing transverse movement of the transversely-movable structure relative to a main body of the pivotable structure. A carriage mounted for bidirectional travel on the main body of the pivotable structure, the carriage including a carriage hitch for pivotably coupling a load. The transversely-movable structure in combination with the pivotably coupling carriage hitch allow correcting virtually any misalignments between the cargo container and the trailer, and clearing virtually any obstacle, in such a way that cargo containers will be able to be loaded and unloaded by small vehicles and in practically any location.
Container loading and unloading system
An apparatus for loading shipping containers onto and off of a truck or trailer bed. The apparatus includes rotatably mounted drive chains disposed in a laterally-spaced relationship adjacent the lateral edges of the bed. The drive chains are driven by a hydraulic motor on the bed. Lift spikes are rigidly mounted the drive chains and extend perpendicularly therefrom for engaging and pulling a container onto the bed. Lift wedges are pivotably mounted to the rear edge of the bed and are rotatably driven by hydraulic rams for lifting the front edge of a container onto the lift spikes. Container locking assemblies are located adjacent the four corners of the bed and each include a locking pin positioned above the bed coupled to a pneumatic ram mounted to an underside of the bed. The hydraulic rams move the locking pins laterally, between a locked position and an unlocked position.
Cargo loading trailer
A cargo loading system for loading freight into or out of the cargo hold, the system comprising: a tilt control means which can be actuated by control signals in such a way that variances in tilt of a palletized load can be immediately righted; a control panel for actuation by personnel; a power source to the control panel; and a trailer base connected to the tilt control means for accepting freight.
Method and Apparatus for Transporting a Tank
The present invention is a tank transport system having a hydraulic tilt tank trailer and a vertical tank. The hydraulic tilt tank trailer includes a utility trailer and a tilt chassis having a tilt chassis frame, where tilt chassis is rotatably attached to the utility trailer. A hydraulic lift system is used to provide the mechanical force to tilt, or rotate, the tilt chassis. The vertical tank includes a hollow body supported by a base frame and a sled frame. To load the vertical tank, the vertical tank is positioned to rest on the sled frame and tilt chassis is tilted from the towing position to the loading/unloading position. The vertical tank is pulled onto the tilt chassis where only the sled frame is in contact with the tilt chassis. The tilt chassis is then tilted, or rotated, back into the towing position for transportation.
Universal roll-off frame
An apparatus for loading and unloading containers of various sizes onto and off of a roll-off vehicle comprises a top frame and at least one lift actuator operable to pivot the top frame away from a horizontal home position to rearwardly incline the top frame. The top frame includes a main portion, a head portion longitudinally displaceable relative to the main portion, a plurality of sheaves, a cable extending through the sheaves, and a hoist actuator operable to displace the head portion between a retracted position and an extended position. The cable has a fixed end coupled to the head portion and a free end for coupling to a container. The hoist actuator is operated while the top frame is away from the home position to displace the head portion toward the extended position to load a container onto the vehicle, and toward the retracted position to unload the container.
Vehicle automatic hoist system and method
Systems and methods for controlling a hoist apparatus on a vehicle to automatically load and unload a container. The vehicle includes a chassis, a hoist apparatus coupled with the chassis, and at least one lift mechanism operative to move the hoist apparatus with respect to the chassis in response to the flow of hydraulic fluid along a fluid flow path. The vehicle also includes at least one valve in fluid communication with the at least one lift mechanism, a control system in electronic communication with the at least one valve, and a transceiver in electronic communication with the control system. The control system is operative to receive, via the transceiver, an initiation signal from a remote control unit. Further, the control system is operative to selectively actuate the at least one valve in response to the initiation signal to move the hoist apparatus.
Vehicle trailer system
A vehicle trailer system for loading, transporting and unloading a load includes a wheeled trailer structure for attachment to a towing vehicle; a carriage mounted for bidirectional travel on the trailer structure; a carriage hitch carried by the carriage, the carriage hitch configured for coupling to the load; a movable, preferably pivotable arm carried by the trailer structure; and an arm actuating cylinder operably engaging the movable arm to selectively position the movable arm in lowered and raised positions. In a first raised position, the movable arm can suspend a cable attached to the load and lift the load when the cable is pulled by a winch. In a second raised position, the movable arm can arrange the cable so that it presents a strong vertical component for lowering the load onto the carriage hitch. When the movable arm is arranged in the lowered position, the carriage can travel over the movable arm as the cable pulls the load onto the trailer structure.
Roll off trailer, movable bumper for use therewith and related methods
A roll off trailer is provided with a bumper assembly which may move between a deployed position and a collapsed position. The roll off trailer may include a trailer frame with a table top pivotally connected to the trailer such that the deployed position may be associated with a home position of the table top and the collapsed position may be associated with a tilted roll off position of the table top.
Tiltloader for transferring cargo
A device and method for moving tilt frame and transfer bed portions of a cargo transfer system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the invention may include a table and a pin secured to the transfer bed. The table may pivot on a horizontal axis allowing the transfer bed to be placed in a horizontal orientation during inclination of the tilt frame. The table may also pivot on a vertical axis so that the transfer bed may swing side-to-side, and may also pivot on a z-axis enabling the transfer bed to roll side-to-side relative to the table. An adjustable carriage with independently movable stabilizer legs may be used to level the transfer bed on uneven ground. The tilt frame may also include an extendable boom and a retractable roller system to facilitate loading and unloading of material such as flat rack platforms and pallets.
