Tanker truck with soft start/stop system
A tanker vehicle for distributing liquid on a surface includes a chassis that supports a tank for holding the liquid. A fluid pump discharges the liquid from the tank and is driven by a hydraulic motor. A hydraulic system delivers hydraulic fluid to the motor through a supply line and returns the fluid to a tank through a return line. A bypass circuit is disposed between the supply line and the return line, bypassing the motor. The bypass circuit includes a system for providing a combination soft start and soft stop of the hydraulic motor that is configured to enable hydraulic fluid to flow from the supply line through the bypass circuit to the return line at a start of the hydraulic system and to flow from the return line through the bypass circuit to the supply line at a shutdown of the hydraulic system.
Baffled Fluid Tank with Stairway Access
A tank for transporting fluids on a truck chassis includes a front wall, side walls, a back wall, a top, and a floor. Interior stairs extend from the floor to an opening in the top to allow stair access into the interior with integrated safety handrails on the fill port cover. Stair toe kicks act as internal transverse baffles to help control fluid motion and surging. The stairs also act as a structural stiffener between longitudinal baffles. Horizontal baffles assist in controlling fluid motion and surging. Formed baffles provide strength and stiffness. A baffle interlocking system improves joint integrity and aids manufacturing. Formed outer skins provide structural strength for the tank. Ports located in front and rear bulkheads may be used for tank ventilation or, depending on local safety codes, as secondary access points. Doors or other access openings may be located in the tank bulkheads to provide better interior access.

OPEN ACCESS WATER TANK TRUCK BODY
A water truck body comprising a floor, two side walls, a front wall and a rear wall, a plurality of cylindrical baffle bodies with open bottom ends, a top plate situated on top of each of the cylindrical baffle bodies so that the cylindrical baffle body is centered underneath the top plate, and a tubular support structure. Each of the plurality of cylindrical baffle bodies comprises a plurality of apertures configured to permit liquid to flow through them. The tubular support structure is configured to hold the top plates and provide structural stability to the side walls, front wall and rear wall.

Element for eliminating turbulent behavior of liquid in a holder
The present invention relates to essential details of the design of an inflatable element (5), which can neither be moved nor deformed by the liquid (3), to its functional operation, and to the resulting predictable and repeatable ability to eliminate turbulent behavior and to influence the behavior of a liquid in a holder (2) or tank suitable for the storage or transport of liquids, in which the element at any liquid level and at any volume of liquid at least completely covers the horizontal liquid surface and in which the element can change both in size and in shape if required necessary by the geometry, the shape or the dimensions of the liquid holder or tank.
Tank trailer with fluid collection system
A tank trailer is provided. The tank trailer includes a tank having an interior volume adapted to contain fluid, and a manhole extending through the tank and positioned proximate a rear portion thereof and proximate to ground level. The tank trailer also includes a ventilation system having a ventilation interface communicating with the interior volume of the tank, a ventilation access port having a ventilation outlet positioned proximate the rear portion and proximate to ground level and a ventilation pipe adapted to establish fluid communication between the ventilation outlet and ventilation interface. The tank trailer further has a collection system which includes a collection pipe coupled between the ventilation interface and the ventilation pipe. The collection pipe defines an internal volume shaped and adapted to collect fluid spilling from the interior volume of the tank through the ventilation interface and at least partially prevent fluid flow into the ventilation pipe.
Fluid baffle for a tank
Embodiments relate to fluid baffles and parts and kits for making such baffles. For example, some embodiments relate to a fluid baffle for use in a tank, where the baffle comprises: a body defining an interior volume and defining a plurality of fluid passage apertures at spaced positions around the body to allow fluid to easily pass into and out of the interior volume; wherein the body comprises a continuous wall that defines a plurality of convex regions spaced from each other around the body and defines concave regions between the convex regions.
Tank for transporting liquids
A tank for transporting a liquid is disclosed. In some implementations, the tank includes a carrier having a plurality of compartments, each compartment of the plurality of compartments having an opening for containing one or more baffles. In some implementations, the tank includes a plurality of posts that are securable relative to the tank and configured to support the one or more baffles. In some implementations, the posts are removed from the tank to facilitate installation of the baffles. In some implementations, the posts are rotatable to facilitate installation of the baffles. In some implementations, the tank is a two-piece tank which facilitates access to the one or more baffles.
