Method for applying an underlayment layer to trucking cargo
A method for applying an underlayment layer to trucking cargo includes providing a roll of underlayment layer that is independent of the trucking cargo and a vehicle that transports the trucking cargo. The leading edge of the underlayment layer is secured and the underlayment layer is dispensed from the roll of underlayment layer such that the underlayment layer is applied to the trucking cargo in the longitudinal direction of the trucking cargo so as to cover the trucking cargo.
CARGO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING A CARGO NET SPANNER
Provided are a cargo net spanner and a cargo management system including the cargo net spanner. The spanner includes a tab protruding longitudinally from a proximal end of the spanner; a first cord attachment portion proximal to the tab; and a second cord attachment portion at a distal end of the spanner. The tab is configured to allow a user to control a movement of the spanner. The first cord attachment portion is configured to engage with a first cord. The second cord attachment portion is configured to engage with a second cord. The system includes a cargo net and the cargo net spanner(s). When the first cord and the second cord attachment portions are respectively engaged with the first and the second cords, the spanner positions between the first cord and second cord such that an internal space formed by the cargo net becomes more accessible by the user.
Hooking and tarp anchoring system and methods
A system of devices is provided to cooperate to tie-down a load and to cover the load with a tarp or cover. A knob with an optional locking base provides an anchor point to wrap and tie a tarp in the tarp anchoring system. The knob has numerous variations to accommodate attaching points and accessory characteristics. A compressing device secures the tarp over the knob. Two pieces move and lock within one another with sufficient clearance to receive the knob and the tarp. The knob having sufficient curvature to retain the compressing device when locked. Various mid-spanning hooking members cooperate with cords, straps, or ropes for a myriad of cargo lashing functionality and to receive the anchoring point. When used in combination, a user can employ the system to generate a web of load supports with a network of hubs and modes of attachment.
Retaining brackets for interior convenience nets and objects
A product for retaining objects that may include a base that may have a central body. A leg may extend from the central body. An anchor arm may extend from the leg. An offset portion may extend from the anchor arm. The leg, the anchor arm and the offset portion may define three sides of a receptacle. The receptacle may have a fourth side that may be open and that may face toward the central body. An anchor loop may extend from the central body. The anchor loop may have an anchor leg extending from the base, and may have a loop segment on the anchor leg.
Apparatus and method for placing a tarpaulin on a payload of a moveable vehicle
Apparatus for positioning a tarp on a payload carried on the bed of a vehicle includes a tarp lifting device having a carriage engagable with forks of a forklift truck and a support arm projecting from the carriage. Lifting hooks are provided on the support arm and engage anchor points of the tarp which is raised and drawn into position over the payload. Once placed, the support arm is lowered and the hooks drop free of the anchor points. The placement of the tarp occurs without an operator being on the bed or on top of the payload and the hooks disengage without assistance from the operator.
CARGO RETENTION APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A cargo retention system includes a receptacle having an interior and an exterior. The interior of the receptacle is adapted to partially retain cargo. The exterior of the receptacle includes indicia adapted to visually indicate the terminus of the cargo. A plurality of cam-controlled straps are included. Each one of the plurality of cam-controlled straps separately coupled to the exterior of the receptacle, wherein each one of the plurality of cam-controlled straps comprises an elongated strap adjustable and adapted for a variety of lengths via a cam buckle, wherein each one of the plurality of cam-controlled straps is adapted to secure within the bed of a vehicle.
Vehicle Covering Apparatus
An apparatus for raising and lowering a vehicle cover is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible member having a first end and a second end, the flexible member configured to flex so that, with the first end positioned adjacent to a vehicle and the second and positioned generally higher than the vehicle, the second end raises the vehicle cover up from the vehicle and lowers the vehicle cover down towards the vehicle. The second end of the flexible member is configured to retain the vehicle cover.
Baggage restraint system
A baggage restraint system for the containment of luggage and other personal or group articles, such as camping gear or sport equipment, to the confines of two or more successive seats in a commercial passenger vehicle, such as a school bus. The system comprises an enclosure, and the means by which it may be releasably secured to the vehicle cabin floor. The system's enclosure is constructed of tear-resistant fabric panels, as an essentially rectangular or forward-leaning, four-sided cuboid. The enclosure is shaped and dimensioned to envelope a predetermined number of seats in a target vehicle. The system's means of securement include: a plurality of depending loops, affixed along one or more of the enclosure's bottom and windows-side edges; a plurality of floor and sidewall anchor tabs; and a plurality of carabiners and adjustable straps, linking each anchor tab to one of the depending loops.
CARGO NET ANCHOR GUARD
A cargo net anchor guard mountable to an aircraft's cargo hold wall adjacent to an anchor clip assemblies. The cargo net anchor guard is configured to block cargo from impacting at least the anchor clip assembly. The cargo net anchor guard has a ramped deflection surface that can deflect moving cargo inwardly away from the wall and into the cargo net substantially without impacting the anchor clip assembly.
Outdoor storage bag
A selectively openable and closable, outdoor storage bag includes a body portion made of a flexible, waterproof, plastic coated fabric bag material, the bag material comprising a plurality of waterproof welded seams that define a predetermined shape of the body portion and an opening, the body portion defining an interior space within the body portion; a closure mechanism joined to the body portion by a welded seam proximate a periphery of the opening, the closure mechanism configured to selectively open and close the opening and provide a seal that is at least water-resistant when the opening is closed; a flap of the plastic coated fabric bag material that extends from the body portion and covers the closure mechanism; and a plurality of anchor points attached to an exterior surface of the body portion, wherein the body portion of the bag is waterproof and the seal is at least water-resistant.
