CARZ0001 is a product of a planned breeding program. The new cultivar CARZ0001 has medium sized lavender (RHS N80B) and white (RHS NN155D) colored flowers, excellent flower production, moderate plant size and uniform mounding and somewhat spreading habit with medium green foliage.

Embodiments include seeds of Catharanthus CARZ0008, plants of Catharanthus CARZ0008, to plant parts of Catharanthus CARZ0008, and methods for producing a Catharanthus plant produced by crossing Catharanthus CARZ0008 with itself or with another Catharanthus variety. Embodiments include methods for producing a Catharanthus plant containing in its genetic material one or more genes or transgenes and transgenic Catharanthus plants and plant parts produced by those methods. Embodiments also relate to Catharanthus varieties, breeding varieties, plant parts, and cells derived from Catharanthus CARZ0008, methods for producing other Catharanthus lines or plant parts derived from Catharanthus CARZ0008, and the Catharanthus plants, varieties, and their parts derived from use of those methods. Embodiments further include hybrid Catharanthus seeds, plants, and plant parts produced by crossing Catharanthus CARZ0008 with another Catharanthus variety.
